Song has had enough of Allardyce.

Who can blame the lad and why don't you start a thread about it ron?

Re: Bristol City v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 0-1
So the performance improved when the near comatose Song was withdrawn, but Nolan remains the subject of most people's criticism.

Song was obviously very good when he first joined us, but he now seems to think that all he has to do is show up.

So they just said in bbc 1 the game could have sold out three times over. Even though they were still selling tickets in Friday. And the capacity is only 13 k

Eight times I counted giving the ball away, more passes to Bristol than to West Ham United, but no that was all Sams and Nolans fault.

What Surface says.

Re: Bristol City v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 0-1
I thought Song was sit not because he was playing alongside Nolan, or Noble, or without Kouyate, or not behind Downing or any of the other clever reasons given on here. I think he was shit because he loped around like an uninterested hare on mogadon, shunning physical contact like Quentin Crisp in a dirty room. When given the ball by someone else, he promptly kicked it to someone in red and white every single time.

That's the main reason we were shit in the first half and why we improved mightily when he and Valencia, (almost as bad, but at least willing) were rightly hoiked. You can't play decent football when you keep giving the ball to the other team. Morgan and Sakho stopped giving the ball to the other team.

Football's a simple game, innit?

I think Kouyate Song Noble and Downing could be good.

Re: Bristol City v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 0-1
Johnson 3.16 (well it's wasn't 3.16 but you get my drift:)

Insistence on playing Nolan is causing performances to deteriorate
We look a different team to the one that got us fourth before Xmas - mainly because we are different in terms of setup and personnel. This is deliberate and not due to any injury crisis.
Song has become disinterested in conjunction with performances deteriorating which also coincides with us returning to the BFS way of playing
People still seem to be praising us for things we were doing before Xmas that we're not doing anymore and no one seems to want to understand why that is

I'm not sure what bite Nolan adds, but he was picked for euro (?) team of the week by a Spanish newspaper two weeks ago.

I have no idea what he does in this side that warrants he gets picked before Amalfitano.

Wasn't surprised by the midfield selection today. Noble and Nolan in to add some bite.

Against better sides do think we need Amalfitano to join Song and Downing to add pace.

My preferred four is:

Noble
Song
Amalfitano
Downing.

Play that and think we could go far this year.

Downing

"Oh shit don't tell me that I was watching some spoof TV feed??? I thought I was watching a live game where we beat a decent Bristol City side 1-0!!! Was that not the case and we lost just like Chelsea, Man City and Spurs??? Please tell me that we did win!!!!"

Yes we won Dick. If that makes everything fine in your book then you are clearly not really a knowledgeable supporter and clearly are what is known as a happy post96er

Willtell I have been a WHU supporter for for 55 years and have seen it all. Most supporters of any club (knowledgeable or not!!) will take a win of any sort in the cup however it is gained. Just ask Chelsea, Man City, Totts supporters how they feel today!! Cheer up we are through to the fifth round!!!!

Re: Bristol City v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 0-1
I know pundits on TV are of wildly varying quality but all 3 of them on BBC today seemed to think that we can't play how we have in the first half in the last 2 matches and that we looked better once it was changed in the 2nd half. This is in line with what a lot of fans think.

The important thing is that the manager recognises it.
