Re: WBA v West Ham - Official Match Thread 4-0 FT
BFS comments at the end of the game were really bugging me so I had a look at the players from both teams and how much work they've actually done this season

The West Brom players who made an appearance in the game yesterday average around 49 minutes each in their 31 games in all comps this season.
They played two further rounds in the league cup than us and mostly used their first team in those games
(10 of yesterdays WBA team played in at least 56 minutes of the league cup)

West Ham's 14 have averaged 57 minutes in their 29 games this season (we of course had a replay against Everton which included extra time) and only 4 of our 14 from yesterday played any part in the league cup exit (what was the excuse for that one - not played enough ?)

I would say that having played an extra 8 minutes each on average since August, must have really taken it out of our players.

PS. I know that you can prove anything with stats, but I don't think you can prove that our players are more tired

My beloved Hammers have been off the boil for so long and now they play like they have no desire to win. Most of our players look like amateurs, simply unable to control a ball. They will do well in 1st Division. Premier league is beyond them. Losing 4-0 to West Brom...what a laugh!

Re: WBA v West Ham - Official Match Thread 4-0 FT
first goal...definitely offside...seen the replay many times...

Second goal shite tackle by Noble lets in WBA on edge of area...

Third goal Ideye got a lucky deflection off Kouyate's head to deceive Adrian..
.
last goal...Adrian beaten at near post...Again...

Re: WBA v West Ham - Official Match Thread 4-0 FT
We were terrible today, Nolan's legs gave gone and Allardyce has probably taken us as far as he can BUT let's not go over the top with how we'll 'never be competitive'.

We were third in the league on Christmas Day. Third. You don't achieve that without being competitive.

Yes, the wheels have fallen off but let's not talk shit.

Re: WBA v West Ham - Official Match Thread 4-0 FT
Agree with Iron...
We will never be competitive with Noble...Nolan...Song on current displays...to slow...error prone...and completely devoid of forward creativity...Downing cant do it all...

TBH we also weren't allowed to turn up by WBA...
Noble and Nolan should never start a game together, like a shit Gerrard / Lampard thing...

Mickey Mouse competition.

Except for 1964, 1975 and 1980.

Re: WBA v West Ham - Official Match Thread 4-0 FT
Strange thing about today is that we were only a couple changes short of the team we would all choose. We even had sakho and Valencia up top with Downing behind. Just had the normal lack of movement in the mid park and too many players have a bad day at the same time

Yeah, fucking wish we were in QPR's position, like the old West Ham. How exciting.

Well probably not if you ignore the relegation in between, A8.

We're eighth. TWO seasons ago we finished tenth. I'm not sure that's an awful lot of progression

I'm fed up of progression. I'd rather have the excitement of the unknown and short term excitement as is the modern way.

BFS out! And the porno brothers!

Eddie Howe and Tony Fernandes IN!

1964 - The yellow was for the foul. The red for the push in the face.

I remember Sterling slapping someone earlier in the season right in front of the AR. Don't remember him seeing red......
