Just watched highlights on Bein Sports with Gray commenting and Keys chirping in.
Gray when Norwich scored their second goal " Norwich probably thought they'd won when this went in."
Keys : " Norwich should have won."

I sincerely hope this pair of cunts never get a job in the UK again.

People can debate tactics and formations all they like but the fact is we started the game in attack mode but the idiocy of Noble completely changed the dynamic for much of the rest of the half. Conceding the goal in that manner knocked the stuffing out of the team and boosted Norwich no end. Same against Bournemouth.

Yep, that just about sums it up.

Oh - and the extra piss-water sellers on the bml concourse, run out of the stuff after loads had queued up for a while and then disappeared. (Mind you, think we had a result at 4 1/2 quid a pop!).

Jenkinson getting better after his nightmare start...however, he has still to find his best form and offers nothing going forward compared to last season. Hopefully our right wing/side will offer more of a threat as his confidence and form improves.

Leicester, Bournemouth and Norwich have been exciting in the last 10 and right upto the last kick. This is definitely not a season to leave early, the Bournemouth game the crowd could've played there part in grabbing an undeserved draw.

My take on yesterday (although granted I was well pissed)

Jenkinson with some confidence back would make a terrific wing back. Shame they seem a thing of the past now.

Noble is a weak link. I'm gutted to say.

Moses was shit and got rightly hooked

Sakho was our best player by a mile.

Carroll is a great asset to brig on late. You could see their centre halves bracing themselves

When they scored 1-2 the place started emptying. There was still 7mins left. Really disappointed with that. Come on we're fucking West Ham. Get behind the boys. I thought about those already gone when I was going berserk in the 93rd min.

Reflecting, I agree with Bilic, good game, had it all right across the spectrum

We will play better and lose, worse and win

Above all else, I am enjoying this season more than any I can remember for years and am minded that this team is still settling down - it's going to be a good one too

Re: West Ham v Norwich - Official Match Thread 2-2 FT
He was really good in the second part of the first half when we got him on the ball higher up the pitch by winning it back.
That's part of Bilic's problem. Trying to get more possession higher up the pitch and keeping the ball. Hopefully Song will help that.
If you can get Payet and Lanzini on the ball in the final third running at people they can cause lots of problems.

Re: West Ham v Norwich - Official Match Thread 2-2 FT
Sven, re lanzini - been really impressed with him so far. Always prepared to take a risk and manages to spin away from 1/2 players where ever he is on the park. Could been even more effective further up with the pitch in a two with payet behind sakho

Sven Roeder 1:52 Sun Sep 27
Re: West Ham v Norwich - Official Match Thread 2-2 FT
When Song is fit I could see him and Obiang sitting in and Antonio being introduced instead of Lanzini to give us a more aggressive direct forward threat.
None of Payet, Moses or Lanzini offer that option and we can be a bit samey when teams sit in.

Everything all said, I couldn't have hoped for more entertainment than we've had this season already.

What a lovely difference.

A win at Leicester would have put us in the last 16
Europa was preseason and if we'd have got through we would have been about 20 games from the final.
I wouldn't disagree with the selection , the only problem was going to ET.
I'm always in favour of footballers playing football as it keeps them out of trouble.

Mr Anon 1:36 Sun Sep 27

Agreed, I can only judge what I see on the pitch. If it looks incredibly weird to me, then I might as well say so.

Three of the four home matches I have been shocked at the sheer naivety of our system. That's the truth. I think I've said so on the match threads at the start of each of those matches. And all three we have struggled massively against relatively poor opposition. I don't think it's a coincidence.

Re: West Ham v Norwich - Official Match Thread 2-2 FT
Let's be honest the issues are not major we are playing much better football with skill and pace....

My take on it is the fullbacks and dm to play like bilic does with numbers up top you need your defenders to defend and dm to protect the defence the trouble is cresswell and jenks are great wing backs which are not needed in bilics system...

Re: West Ham v Norwich - Official Match Thread 2-2 FT
Said this before and got pelters, but I'll say it again...

Away from home, Kayoute is a great asset, and you need a headless chicken chasing about, especially one who is 6'4

However, at home, when what you need more of is technical ability and good incisive passing, he falls way short in that area. Noble is the one that gets slated, but if Kayoute wasn't a physical beast, I struggle to think he'd get anywhere near playing top level football, which whilst obviously he is, it doesn't say a lot about his actual ability. I know he scored, but the rest of his game was not good enough yesterday.

Obiang and Noble must start at home.

Re: West Ham v Norwich - Official Match Thread 2-2 FT

Have you considered it's only weird from your point of view as you're not privy to all the facts? Obviously Billic bases his decisions on a lot more than what happens in the 90 minutes of the previous game- surely what goes on on the training pitch is a huge factor for starters?

Personally I thought playing an almost full strength side v Leicester as oppossed to the way we threw the Europa league was odd.

Our squad is good enough now the have been able to rest most of the 1st team midweek.

stewie griffin 1:32 Sun Sep 27
Re: West Ham v Norwich - Official Match Thread 2-2 FT
Sorry, Alex, but I didn't see anything weird yesterday at all. Every player who played 120 minutes midweek had a poor game.

That was about it as far as I could see.

Bilic should give O'brien a chance to play as right back

Jenkinsons is not fully fit yet...
