the thing that frustrated me after carroll went off was noble and obiang sitting too deep and allowing the bournemouth midfield players far too much room. bilic sorted that out at half time and we were much more positive second half

Re: Bournemouth v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-3
The criticism of Valencia was just grossly exaggerated. Do so by all means but do it in a measured way. Players are not either brilliant or rubbish there is the whole spectrum between those extremes that are more realistic to use.

Some posters made themselves look really silly with their half time denigration and subsequent recanting.

Re: Bournemouth v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-3
Why do people insist on 'point scoring' all the time? If people slagged off Valencia at half time then they were right because he deserved it. He owes us big time and hasn't produced enough to warrant his transfer fee. Just because he scored two decent goals doesn't suddenly erase the many poor performances he's put in previously.

If he continues to do what he's capable of doing then great, but he needs to do it consistently. I don't think that's asking too much.

Valencia is a valuable player for us when receiving good service in front of goal.

He is a complete waste of space when fart arsing around in midfield or at right back. Presumably Bilic has instructed him to occupy those areas of the field. If so, I am BAFFLED by that.

Looked in on this thread the other day not long into the 2nd half and Valencia was getting dogs abuse...

Surprised to see he scored 2. I guess that shows that he's better than some WHOers give him credit for, shocker.

I'm one of the worst at spelling Kouyate's name, so will continue to do so now I know it annoys you Buster :o)

Only just seen Slav's post match interview, the bloke really is a gem isn't he and I love hearing him talk compared to previous managers.

Harry - Just lied
Roeder - Inept clown
Zola - Just talked about Chelsea
Grant - Just talked about Dangermouse
Allardyce - Just a cunt who took no blame and cannot help but criticise other clubs.
Bilic - Honest, amusing assessment of every game with huge respect for his opposition.

No one in the PL really, although I do think Alexis Sanchez is similar level.

I've been more impressed by him in this 2nd spell as coming back in after injury and no matches and straight off performing how he has is remarkable. Teams are certainly going to be targetting him on the pitch now, hope he doesn't get more cunts like McCarthy trying to clatter him out the game.

It's Kouyate, FFS.

This is becoming more infuriating than people using Maradonna.

Re: Bournemouth v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-3
I'm loving that we're having players coming in due to injury (Collins, Obiang, Antonio) and playing so well and taking their chance that they can't be dropped and returning players have to wait to get back in the side.

Best injury crisis ever.

Would you mind if I bag a few points for saying at the start of the season that Kayoute might end up struggling in a team trying to dominate possession, Dancer?

To be honest, apart from a few games, the season has passed him by.

Ron - Yea we heard you the first time ffs. You don't mind a bit of point scoring do you. That's not to say you are right, some rate Kouyate and some don't ,and as we well know STATS never tell the full story.

I was meaning to ask how Stanislas played. Glad he's coming good.
Nice to see both Samuelson and Moncur scored last weekend.

We didn't miss Kouyate at all. Actually come off the pitch with more possession and a better pass completion than recent weeks with Kouyate.

All the worries of him being a MASSIVE loss and all that.

It's great that Obiang stepped in and played better.

Re: Bournemouth v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-3
Based on form I'd have PEDRO in over Kouyate right now even when Kouyate is fit. That turn he did on one of theirs in the middle of the park was class.

Clever player.

Re: Bournemouth v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-3
Especially those goals against Bournemouth in the first match, where he turned himself into Jenkinson and Creswell. Oh and against Watford when he became Tomkins. And who can forget when he morphed into Payet against Sunderland so that Lens could score that chip.

He does as good stuff as bad. He's in the team, back him. He shouldn't be an automatic starter, but fuck me, when we play spurs in a few weeks, he's the first name down.
