We were far too hesitant especially against 10 men. The build up was so slow, what has happened to the slick, quick passing which we had a few games back?
When will Lanzini be fit, his return will help?

Some of the songs/chants by them lot at Away games... Dear God...
Guess they're all like that at every club though...
Don't worry D3 fella... when we get into the OS the place will be packed out with 60,000 ex-Dockets from Wapping and Silvertown... won't be a jester hat anywhere on view...

Unfortunately Slav got it all wrong.
Antonio has been a great goal threat and was effectively playing right back. It left us exposed defensively not being used to the shape.
We should have stuck to our 4-2-3-1.
It wasn't all his fault. Valencia was poor, Song kept giving the ball away and Moses? Fuck me, no wonder he's always out on loan.
Payet looks knackered to me and needs a rest.

Another game where we have not used 4-2-3-1 and paid the price for it
It was almost like a 5-3-2-1 on sat and the first half we were woeful, never in the game and created very little. Our full backs were picking the ball up beyond our wingers (moses and cresswell in particular) our most creative player was having to come to the halfway line to receive the ball and with Valencia up top the service to him was very poor
Noble deserves praise, was good performance from him. Song on the other hand is just too slow on the ball, bigged him up after the Villa game but in the first half alone he lost the ball 3 times with two of them being in his own half. Obiang has to come in for the Liverpool game, he hasnt put a foot wrong so now deserves his chance
Valencia again was ineffective up top on his own, he just isnt a no 9......was so much better out on the wing
Overall disappointing....Bilic shouldnt of played a new formation and then should of changed it at HT when it clearly wasnt working. We desperately need Sakho and Lanzini back

I wasn't too disheartened after yesterday, we could have played another hour and I still don't think we were ever going to get the ball in the net. One of those days.
Got soaked, had train delays and for the second season running we didn't score there. Still had an alright day with the boy though.
