Reid played a couple of games at right back was destroyed and spent the rest of the season out of the team.
Brought back in the side the next year at centre back by the new manager, the rest is history.
Another diservice big Sam did us.

He's physically and mentally beaten. Needs a hip replacement. I think he needs his brain testing. It must be frazzled.

Bilics interview summed it up when he said we had a bit of pressure from a couple of free kicks and corners. When were these corners because I don't remember getting one. Its one thing your manager not seeing something but when hes seeing things that aren't there its time to worry about his sanity.

In a nutshell, mate.

You can talk about individual mistakes, lack of effort, poor transfers, stadium move, Payet saga.... All of which have contributed to a thoroughly depressing season. Which may still end up being worse than we could ever have imagined if we go down.

But the point is, as a team, we don't actually know what we are. Because being a counter attacking team, set up for counter attacking, but having no pace and defenders than can't defend is a bit like going into a boxing match with your hands tied behind you back.

Fundamentally this will cost us. And we either change the way we play to suit the players we have or we get in players that can play that way.

The Reading manager did not say we were unfit.

He said our loanee was surprised by the intensity of Reading's training.

I mean whatever whatever, woeful performance last night. But think it's important to maintain a balance by making sure the facts are maintained.

Byram needs time, can recall when Reid first came in, he was total dogshit, now one of our best. Lets not write off Byram, under a new manager we will see a different player as his confidence is shot under the current regime.

Surprised more was not said at Kouyate's complete and utter lack of effort for the 2nd goal... nice little jog back fella....

Have you seen the stats.
Arsenal committed more fouls than us that's how much fight there is in this team, not one corner totally embarrassed by probably the worst Arsenal team in the last ten years.

ive just watched the highlights !

Did we not have our best chance before half time- noble beat a couple and slid a shot wide of the post when he should have scored? DId show up on the highlights

In reality we were luck to get 0 and they should have had at least two more

The amount of challenges we dont make all over the park are the start of the problem- arsenal players just walking past ours time after fukcing time

What the Reading manager said, we are not bloody fit. How many games of late have we lost in the second half, if the Swans can keep it to 1-0 down or better for the first 60 minutes they will beat us on Saturday.

The game was up as soon as Snodgrass replaced Antonio. We were in it until then, or rather in it until the last two transfer windows.

We might just avoid the drop this season but none of this looks at all good without a total shakeup.

I went last night - and one thing LANZINI was best player on pitch imo. There will be bids for him over the summer. He would get into that Arsenal team and most other teams in top 6. Was excellent last night with little support. Way he runs at defences and retains possession, gets shots away etc is our main/only threat.

Also do not get the point of buying Ayew and Snodgrass

Northern Sold, so what does that tell you about our management team? We get decent players in, but they almost immediately turn to shit.
Snodgrass looked good in his first game or two, but very quickly looked like he doesn't know what a football looks like. Fonte has gone backwards too.

Dunno... maybe they are depressed as they realise that they have to play all their home games at a shit hole?? Got to admit I was happy with the Snodgrass signing... the times I had seen Hull play this year him and Maguire were head and shoulders their best player... but yeah at the moment he looks shot... Fonte is a weird one... said at the time I thought it was a strange signing... and I not changed my mind
