"new age football fan".

They were booing our players at UP since as far back as the 60s. Nothing new age about it.

I would just like to commend the bunch of fans that booed Calleri when he came on.

Absolutely superb support. The new age football fan really is a joy to behold.

Calleri must be chomping at the bit to get out there again

A wins a win. We needed it, we got it, I'll take it!

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Swansea - Official Match Thread
I have wondered all season on where our young players are going.
Josh Cullen should of been kept in January and given some game time. He would be an ideal replacement for Noble. I know he is getting game time at Bradford but after 18 months their that should of been enough. He would of had the desire and running to be of benefit, more so than Snodgrass who I thought was never going to be the answer.
Bilic has screwed up our youngsters this season and this needs to be changed in the summer. I can't see many young players forcing their way in especially with no European football on offer.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Swansea - Official Match Thread
Ayew is a 2nd striker like Defoe - shame Bilic only plays 1 up front so let's sign another....

Ayew was shit for the last 6 months there as well. It isn't a new thing. He's just not very good

That's actually a thing that Swansea supporters also were saying about Ayew too when I looked at a forum last Summer - they couldn't work out what position he could play either. Wasn't a winger, wasn't a forward, clearly not a midfielder.

Having said we wouldn't win with that team selection it is 'hold hand up time'!

I liked neither the team selection nor the substitutions but (hey!) we got three massive points. Everyone appeared to work hard, we didn't concede and it was a great strike. Lets hope we can carry this 'attitude' all the way to Sunderland next weekend, well done yesterday.

"I still can't work out where Ayew can play in our team."

Neither can Bilic, the thick cunt. Play him on the left, where he's always played, Lanzini in the middle, where he's best, Antonio on the right, where he's best. It's not fucking complicated, ffs.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Swansea - Official Match Thread
If the idiots weren't going to sign a striker a Jan then they should have kept Martinez and sent Calleri back. Also can not see why we bought Fonte and then loaned out Burke and Oxford.
There is some thing seriously wrong at the club in terms of judgement of players, our attitude towards youth and sheer amount of injuries we constantly suffer.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Swansea - Official Match Thread
I'm not sure whether it was disappointment in his own performance or the fact he was being subbed for Feghouli but Snodgrass seemed to be trying to gouge his own eyes out as he left the field.

Sven Roeder 11:07 Sun Apr 9
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Swansea - Official Match Thread
It's obvious neither Carroll or Sahko were fit enough to play any serious amount of the game.
And without Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell , Obiang and Antonio we definitely dodged a bullet as we had to carry some dreadful players and had no one else to call on.
Lanzini has been immense trying to breathe life into several CADAVERS in claret & blue shirts.

Two good things:
1. We won
2. Byram seems to have come good.

I still can't work out where Ayew can play in our team.
Hopefully he is off to Marseille in the summer to eat pizza with his mate.
Callieri I see as someone who might be useful if we need someone to help paint the stadium in the summer.

Bilic's judgement of a player concerns me greatly.
That's and the fact that he has no interest in promoting any young players.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Swansea - Official Match Thread
Calleri is not good enough. This was obvious 6 months ago. 2 easy identical chances yesterday, both ended up in a the side netting. Also not for the first time he had a shot that looked like a cross. He's like a 12 year old, he can't even shoot!
Carroll was only on the bench so that they didn't have to admit that he is injured AGAIN.
I said to my cousin when the team was announced with 3 strikers on the bench that was the case.
Not sure what happened to Sakho, odd how he can manage 30 mins last week but none a week later. He is not going to get fit sitting on the bench.
Why the fuck didn’t the idiots Inc Billic get cover when they had the chance in Jan?

Also want to pick out for Bilic for another crazy sun when he replaced snodgrass for Feghouli.

My word Feg is so lazy. Likes a run forward but then walks back leaving Byram (best player yesterday) exposed time and time again.

We bought some shit in the summer.
