Dancer... as I said I could not fault the fighting spirit on Friday it was there in abundance... far more shown in that one game than Bilic has had all season... probably the reason why the crowd was up for it as the players were deemed to actually looking like they gave a fuck so thumbs up for that... but tactics... we had one plan... and it was like watching Wimbledon in the crash bang wallop days... even when we was shit under Bilic and the players could quite clearly not give a flying fuck did we play less football than we did on Friday... maybe it was a one off... but maybe it's what is going to happen until we are out of the shit...

Reading through the posts theres some excellent analysis about the Moysiahs tactics which begs the the question, what is the dinosaur clogging cunt doing here? Fucking dreadful neandathol football.

Sold - You do know realise that we have been a joke for around 18 mts now, and not just the last 2 games?

Fwiw, and I may be wrong, but I don't think Moyes wil persist with Carroll too much longer if he doesn't improve, unlike the last manager who whipped his cock out at the mere mention of the words Andy and Carroll.

Hernandez & Sakho have scored a few despite either not playing or being played out of position whilst Carroll who has been given EVERY opportunity hasn't scored. Go figure?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 1-1 Att 56,897
But Moyes main tactic has always been to get crosses in, you’ve only got to read what Rio said about him to know that. To go to a club like Man Utd, with their tradition of playing football and the players you can potentially sign for them, and try to turn them into a team that just slings it into the box, that tells you that he doesn’t really want to do much else.

The big man up top is the preference, then it’s a strong heading midfielder to arrive late in the box, who is actually the main threat. He had Cahill and Fellaini in the past, now he is working with Kouyate for this to work. Well, there’s a fundamental flaw straight away, number 1 is that football has very much moved on from that, number 2 is the player he’s employing as his main threat.

The tactics for when Carroll plays under Moyes is no different than it was under Bilic? We're just trying to play to his strengths. It'd be more worrying if we started trying to utilise him as a poache, trying to play balls for him to run on to off the shoulder of the defender.

Luckily we have Hernandez to come back, and we can then mix it up a bit more using his pace and movement. Well unless he keeps Carroll up top and just shoehorns Hernandez in on the wing.

I don't think Carroll has actually scored a goal yet this season.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 1-1 Att 56,897
It is worrying that our main goal is to get it out wide and get a cross in for Carroll.

For one, how many goals has Carroll actually scored from crosses? He doesn't stay up front and his movement if fucking dogshit.

However, the most glaringly obvious flaw in this plan is that Carroll is guaranteed to be side-lined soon with an injury. Then what?

So the plan is to make use of Carrolls areal threat, even though it's not as if he is prolific with his head and he's highly likely to get injured very soon.

Read last two pages and all it's about is our inability to thwack it in the box and to smack it on the Durham Bumpers head... I mean that's what we have become now isn't it... I think even BFS at his fucking worse would make us play less football than we played on Friday.... yeah load s of effort.. hussle and bustle but fuck me we are simply shit at anything even remotely football related... you know... like actually Passing a football??

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 1-1 Att 56,897
Hopefully this will be worked on in training as Moyes said that the crossing in the first half was terrible.

Cresswell cannot beat the first man. Carroll needs to be more lively in the box, rather than be standing on the edge of the box every time a cross looks like it can be played in.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 1-1 Att 56,897
we were talking about cresswell in particular - jesus what happened to him?!

If anyone was capable of getting past a defender- or at least terrorise them enough to give him space to whip an early cross in, it was him. Now? Fuck me i can go out have a piss and be back in my seat by the team he releases the ball..

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 1-1 Att 56,897
Thing that worries me is that we are now relying on crosses into box with no one with confidence or the technique to whip them in or even get them at the right height.Cresswell seems to need about 2/3 touches before he even attempts to cross nowadays. :-(

"A good transfer window will then keep us up"

Will not happen with the lot in charge. EVERY potential signing will come from Sullivan, in fact, could be our worst window yet with a yes man now in short term charge.

Moyes0 Wouldn't have been my choice, but he's here and I Wish him well. I'm more concerned by players who are paid millions of pounds a year being completely incapable of performing the most basic tasks. It's not new, it's been going on 18 months, it's not bilic, it's not MOYES, it's them. They are shit.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread FT 1-1 Att 56,897
We certainly aren't going to stay up unless we improve on this showing.

I believe we will as confidence returns. Maybe not dramatically, but enough to keep us in touch with safety until January.

A good transfer window will then keep us up.

Agree with all of that.

At least with Bilic, we'd get surprise results out of nowhere, and always hit a run of games which would get us out of trouble. I just don't see it happening under the rigid Moyes, we'll play exactly the same way every game, and will be relying on nothing but crosses.

Bilic's time was up, but I cannot believe they've employed a manager who finished rock bottom last season. It's staggering, even for them.
