Unsung hero of the season is Snodders.
People seem to be getting over the snobbishness about him. Solid player doing a good job for us. Would like to see him get a few goals, but he’s contributing well anyway.

Snodders was brilliant, he was the one from the midfield 3 that ventured forward and in the first half it worked really well. His set pieces were good and his workrate as usual was 100%. Easily the most surprising player so far this season.
Whole team sat were superb, Anderson could of had 4 and Rice was class yet again. I think Rice was MOTM for me, but wouldnt have any qualms if it went to Anderson., 4-2 flattered them they didnt deserve 1 goal let alone 2. Nature of their goals is worrying.....again 3 chances 2 goals but play like that sat we should have too much for Huddersfield.

Only seen highlights and apart from the Wood goal, his set-pieces looked good

I can't believe that was intentional, it's so obviously wrong. Upson suggested it came about from not reorganising after our first substitution, but surely it wouldn't have been Pedro marking Wood.
Either way, the good thing is despite conceding some poor goals, our defending has improved and this is the sort of thing that should be easily ironed out.

Not sure what our set up is/was but leaving Snodgrass to mark Chris Wood smacks of poor preparation.
They have some big lumps but Diop should have been assigned to the Kiwi cunt

The only gripe is that our defending was poor for those goals, especially the second. We should have beaten them 5 or 6 without reply, letting them off with a point would have been thoroughly demoralizing. We need to get our basic defending together, especially at corners.

Special mention for cresswell who slipped in yesterday and did the basics well. Left back has been a concern constantly when masuaku has played and that can't be said yesterday. Aaron might not be amazing going forward (neither is masuaku imho) but a defender should defend first and foremost. I'd say he was bloody unlucky to end up on the loosing side against wolves and lose his spot, so hopefully he cements his position now.

Only got to listen on the (internet) wireless yesterday. But this is kind of what I thought Pelegrini would give us. A few drubbings taken and then some multi-goal wins.
Hopefully this means we can generally beat the teams we should going forward and that we have the lineup to finish games at home regularly. Still some more investment in fullbacks and midfield needed but this what we generally wanted, isn't it?

That’s what I was thinking at 2-2. If we draw this WHO will go ballistic, but you’ve got to be grateful for what you’ve got sometimes, and what we had was some superb football, whatever the result.
Put that alongside the gritty, backs-to-the-wall performance against Leicester, and I think you have good signs for the rest of the ‘Pellegrini years.’
