He has the confidence of the 3-4 in front of him, that's the difference he'll make when he comes back. There is added pressure on the defence as they have no faith in Roberto keeping the ball out; so they know that once they are beaten its a high percentage that a goal will result from it rather than a save that Fabianski does on a regular basis.

Think this is the game where we realise we are now deeply in the shit with the games we have coming up and losing Nobes and Lanzini.

Roberto worst GK in the league i said that last week. Probably one of the worst compared to the championship keepers too. All 3 goals he should of done better.

Anderson and Fornals again waste of space. His foolishness to not drop Anderson is why i want Anderson gone to be honest .

No fight, no desire, no bollocks, no interest in playing for the manager or the fans.

Major change is needed, get the kids in for Spurs......they cant do any worse

The fact is if you told me after the international break we'd have 3 wins from 12......the worst GK in the league and relying on David Martin and Nathan Holland coming in to stand the slightest chance of getting a point against Spurs who havent won away since Jan id say you were mad.........yet here we are

In that first match against City, they showed how to use judicious fouling to make sure they were never outnumbered at the back.

Most of our opponents have learnt that lesson.

Not saying that we wouldn't be too blunt as an attacking force without this happening, but it completes the job.

Saw the extended highlights this morning.
Aside from the atrocious defending and keeping for the goals.
Noble's injury came from him not wanting to get bullied. Goes shoulder to shoulder for a high ball, Burnley player falls over, gets his legs somehow tangled with Noble, who gets injured because of it, and Burnley get the foul.
The one time Haller goes to make a challenge for a high ball, Burnley player falls over, and Burnley get the foul.
Lanzini injury comes from a deliberate trip by a Burnley player., leaves Lanzini falling awkwardly on his shoulder.
Snods had his ankle deliberately trod on towards the end when he was on the floor, overlooked as nothing.
We dig our players out for diving, but is the falling over for a foul, with added cries of pain and rolling around like they've been fatally wounded, something we should start to do?

Shit isn’t it.
We need a new goalie and some players that can get the ball into the oppositions penalty area and still in our possession.
Not sure if Pellegrini can conjure that up from the what he has available, but that’s what he needs to do.
3 points of 7th...

Fabian ski won’t make us defend better he is simply better at keeping out some of the shots raining in on us.

I'm fucking sick to death of excuses, of 1966, the West Ham way and talk that we won a couple of cups 40 years ago. What I see week after week is abject gutless surrender and failure, a total lack of commitment. Play for the shirt, grow up, they can't even be bothered to earn their wages

I keep hearing we've got the talent to survive.
I don't book that we're on par with Southampton and if Watford go on a little run it's us Southampton and Norwich who look good candidates for the drop.

Yes we all know about fabianski thanks.

How can he be the main answer when he is unavailable?

When you make then fucking lumps, Woods and Barnes, look like Messi and Suarez, you know something is wrong! This is the tactical maestro who has been make to look a fool by Bruce and Dyche. Where was the passion when that cynical cunt tripped Lanzini, no one was in his face, they were fucking pathetic, there was more menace at fucking Wembley yesterday!

Re: ⚽ Burnley v West Ham- Official Match Thread
The main answer to our woes can be found on another thread - Fabianski.

Last season he topped the table of most saves by a keeper, his excellence disguised the fact that at best our defence was average if not mediocre. Stick a crap keeper behind the defence and it becomes useless.

Over and above that our midfield now has to become more defensively minded which perhaps explains why we had over 50% possession in the first half yesterday but only set foot in their penalty area once! It was no different against the Newcs, 69% possession overall and we only played attack minded football at the end.

We have sacrificed the flair we had at the start of the season to protect our defence and until we replace Roberto nothing will change. Give Martin a chance, search for a half decent keeper who is out of contract, and above all strengthen the defence in January. In the meantime lets pray Fabianski is back soon!!!

Just what the fuck needs to happen for some of the youngsters to get a chance after another half arsed performance from this bunch?

Look forward to the same players being rewarded for failure by starting again against spurs

This side is much worse than Roeders of 02/03. That season we were losing by the odd goal. We have been thrashed by Oxford, Newcastle and Burnley.

Re: ⚽ Burnley v West Ham- Official Match Thread
This time last month we were 5th from top now we are 5th from bottom. Alarming,

Break coming up. We must re-group. Hopefully Antonio will be fit and ready and must start as an attacking central midfielder and give some support to Haller
.
Fabianski should also be back soon after.

Spuds at home should be incentive enough.

Lose the next two games and we will be in deep shit fighting relegation all season.

Re: ⚽ Burnley v West Ham- Official Match Thread
This is a huge crisis because we have lost winnable games. Now the tough run starts.

Let’s say we take nine points from the last nine games until Jan 1 - that’s generous.

That puts us on 22 points mid-way.

We are in a relegation dogfight.

We certainly have the talent to survive, but not at all convinced by MP. He’s being tactically outsmarted by the likes of Steve Bruce, can’t get the team to defend with the basics. We have no plan up front and he can’t make the lazy cunts run.

What is Yarmalenko even meant to be? I just can't see what he is, is he a winger or a forward? if a winger he rarely beats a player and pings in crosses or gets to the bar line?

Re: ⚽ Burnley v West Ham- Official Match Thread
We don't have any great players in our current starting XI, our only great player is our injured keeper and we've only just come to realise this in his absence.

Yarmolenko, like many of the others, just can't be arsed.

Huffers 7:35 Sun Nov 10
Re: ⚽ Burnley v West Ham- Official Match Thread
One of the best players in the PL?

The guy won't even stop the ball with his right foot. His reluctance to do so is what led him to put himself in an awkward position vs Spurs last season, then leading to the injury.

I won't touch on the players that everyone knows are shit but him, Fredericks, Cresswell & Snodgrass are appalling footballers.

Re: ⚽ Burnley v West Ham- Official Match Thread
Our courageous leader hobbled off after 20.. and that was that..
Soft as shite and they (burnley),knew it full well..
But reckon even Dyche is suprised at how easy it was.
Pellegrini needs to go for me.. He's muggin us all off.. And we've been round the block
