I think it was this comment that started it and raised an eyebrow or two ''Seen a few games this year where we should have been out of sight”

As I said, I agree that Haller's finishing needs to be better.

No, that's not what I am saying.

I made a bloody simply point that I am finding it harder to defend Haller because I defended him based on the fact that he was isolated and had fuck all service.

But now, as he is not as isolated as he was under MP, and against Sheff Utd and Everton he was provided with two good chances in each game, its harder to defend him.

Its not rocket science.

I would like to think so :-)

Back on topic, all you are basically saying is that every game could finish 4-4. But you're right that Haller needs to be doing much better in front of goal.

No. That is not what I am saying. But obviously if we take all of our chances we will stay up. But that's never going to happen and not what I was saying.

It was just a point that I made which is that I am finding it more difficult to defend Haller for being isolated and not given any service; as under Moyes, especially in the last two games, he hasn't been so isolated and has had chances created for him. Which had he taken we win both games.

We only tend to remember the chances our players miss.

"Yes, for chances created. Everton and Sheff Utd games recently. Haller provided with 2 or 3 great chances in the first half of both games. It should've been tied up by half time in both of those games. Palace at home; we created several decent chances and never put them away and ended up losing. Bournemouth away also, had some chances near the end which should've won it. "

So you're saying if we convert all our chances we have a better chance? I was at all those games. Apart from maybe Palace at home I reckon all the stats were level Ish.

But yeah, if we take every single chance we get we will probably stay up and we can lord the owners for their fantastic forward thinking appointment.

I don't spout fuck all. I just offer an opinion which is what everyone does. I don't say its right or wrong. It's an opinion.

You could argue everyone on here spouts shit. But its just an opinion. Yet, I make a comment that Haller is making it harder for people to defend him as he has had chances in the last two games and apparently that's spouting shit. And you do it on every one of my posts.

Mate, just fucking turn it in. I am not that interesting. I am flattered with the attention you give me but I really don't want it. Go and bother another you poster you sad little gimp.

Lanzini was anonymous the whole game, V son.

Haller looked OK in parts, but he strikes me as a typical arrogant grumpy French cunt and not really willing to put the work in when things are difficult.

The fact you think it was our best first half of the season says a lot. We were average, very average.

I think we'll survive, just. Only because Bournemouth, Norwich and Villa are even worse than us.

Imagine rewatching a whole half of football?

Oh, it's V. As you were.

Why would I be? Surely there's acknowledgement on here that Everton couldn't get going in that first half. We pressured their possession really well and that came from the front. In terms of created xG it was our best first half of the season so far.

The second half was disappointing for sure but let's take the positives.

V, you're clearly on a windup.

I rewatched the first half at lunchtime and Lanzini and Haller worked really hard to pressure Everton in possession, I thought both did really well.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Everton - Official Match Thread - In memory of Eddie B
Whilst we did okay first half, second half was pathetic.
Lanzini was absolutely dreadful, as was Haller - both showed a complete lack of effort.

Only positive, for me, is that we looked relatively solid - Zabaleta doing well in Frederick's absence. But I think we'll go down, I just don't see us winning the games necessary.

someone must have wiped my memory then.

i remember a header from a free-kick second half but thats it. aside from him scoring but being offside.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Everton - Official Match Thread - In memory of Eddie B
Based on his record the odds are that he will. For me the concern isn't Haller at all, but it might be the lack of other goal threat from our other attackers. The 'too many cooks' imbalance. We need Antonio and Yarmolenko back in and around the side.
