Great to see a side who work as a team!

Defensively solid again, Ogbonna superb at the back.

Didn't play negatively attempted to take the game to Everton, again, the lack of quality in the final third looked like it was going to cost us three points, passing was woeful for most of the game.

How nice to wake up knowing you've just beaten Everton away !!!!

4 Nails needs to practise glancing headers

Doffs cap to Dawson

The comradery in the team is great to see.

Big question now is will Noble move on and play in a standard that now suits him or remain and be part of our management and future ?

Solid performance and tip my hat Sir Craig of Dawsonage.
Four nails proving, once again, his worth.

Declan Rice needs to shape up

1985- 86

14 September 1985 Leicester City H 3–0 McAvennie, Devonshire, Cottee

Look up the attendance you retard. --- 12,125 sorry I was 125 off....

This was our best year, bit like the 'Balcony' with the SAS all you fuckers profess to have been there. I had a season ticket in Chicken run by the way.

The truth is some whinging wankers are never happy, new age fans... I shit better than you.

Honorary fuck you to other fuckwits giving it the big one as well such as Fraser... Fucking knobheads.

Thought overall we deserved a win last night, prior to the game all the tv experts were saying how Southampton press from the front, in fact I would suspect that none of them gave us a chance, but once we’d settled into the game they were nowt special, all we needed was a fucking centre forward and we could have won.

Lily, problem is out players up front who we need to make the possession count are not working well and to tell the truth have not worked since before Antonio was injured and perhaps even since the end of last season. I hope the return of Antonio and more involvement of Benrahma can spark them back to life.
It’s okay and at times exciting watching them try, but all these near misses are getting to be annoying.

Branded - I don't think we should beat anyone. I do think we should give ourselves the best opportunity to win every game, we didn't against Brighton.

Re: ⚽ Southampton v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Not sure why we think we should have beaten Brighton. They draw a FUCK load of games. Historically they get the better of us. In recent history we have bettered Southampton. That said on form two draws is about right.

I won’t quite say the second half was clearly ours, but the last 20 minutes were. First half was awful with the ball.

That’s the thing, we are really good without the ball, which is the first thing we have to be. Generally a strong defense.

With the ball, though, we are so wasteful. We keep fucking up the simplest of things.

We seem to know what we’re doing when not in possession. I just wish we had even half the same thing when in possession.

Re: ⚽ Southampton v West Ham - Official Match Thread
How was this a match we would have lost in past seasons, it's actually a match we won 5 times in a row.

Not a bad result in itself but having thrown the Brighton game we'd be better of with a win and a loss.

We've beat them 5 times on the trot before last night

We didn't lose a match that we would have in past seasons (and we could have won it). This is progress of sorts for sure.

H & P why are you such a dick?

We drew 0-0 away at a club in a similar position to us.

The second half was ours and we were unlucky not to win.

Why don’t you go and support Chelsea.

Having watched the game, I’m inclined to say that Moyse’s tactics were spot-on in terms of making us look like a pub team of total strangers for lengthy stretches of the game.

Was this necessary? I’m not entirely convinced.

Re: ⚽ Southampton v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Had we been more adventerous v Brighton and nicked it last night we'd be sniffing around the top six going into the next game. Makes me think we have missed a big chance here to push on confidence wise and in the league. Ah well, hindsight n all that.

SurfaceAgentX2Zero 1:58 Wed Dec 30
Re: ⚽ Southampton v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Moyes's tactics last night were spot on. Southampton invariably press like mad fuckers for an hour and then run out of steam a bit. Containing them with fresh players and then bringing on the (tired or hamstringy) big guns at the end made perfect sense

He was only let down by a couple of glaring misses, by Benrahma and the usually reliable Soucek.

Re: ⚽ Southampton v West Ham - Official Match Thread
He's just an odd bloke. He's already shown that he can get us playing attractive, attacking football which wielded results, yet he prefers to revert back to his gutless, defensive shell, which has achieved precisely fuck all at all of the clubs he's managed since Everton.

In short, he's his own worst enemy.
