Shaka and David James were both top keepers I think I’d have either of them over fab but he’s been very good

Fabianski is miles ahead of Green in my opinion.

For our latest era/shambles/damage limitation and superb resurrection of our team, Fabs has pulled off some fine saves. In a time where goals are being banged in left right and centre. An era now where no team has 100% water tight defences or partnerships like back in the day.

9 clean sheets is not all down to Dawson and Ogbonna. Fucking brilliant little stat.

Fabs over Green for me. I am looking in the Present and not worried he is coming to the end of his career, he has another season. It is with a wing and prayer Randolph is working hard and improved because if Fabs is injured, he is more of a worry. Having the worlds worst number 2 has already fucked us.

McAllister was average at best, but had one blinder up at Anfield when we somehow drew 0-0 after getting battered for 90 mins
Think he ended up as a recruitment consultant in the City

Parkes
Green
Fab
Ludo

All excellent keepers, with Phil at the top of the tree. Contrary to popular opinion, we’ve had some fucking excellent keepers in our time.

People go on about Green’s mistake in the World Cup, which was poor. But he rarely made such clangers in our shirt, which is why Capello picked him in the first place. He was a very fine keeper. Can’t count how many times he saved points for us.

All keepers make mistakes. They just get severely punished for them.

McNightmare and Roberto were at the other end of the spectrum: absolutely diabolical on a regular basis.

Fabianski has been a superb signing. But he’s heading serenely towards his late 30s - we do need to identify a long-term replacement.

Yeah 62Hammer you are probably right in the fact the poor sod was back up to Parkes who was immense but I remember him getting the full time job and being 'flighty' in his command of the box.

I know what you mean about McAllister, but he was really only a back-up keeper and I quite liked him. He was all-action, ready for anything.

I loved Bernard Lama, had a superb game against Arsenal at Highbury. Was trying to get in the World Cup squad wasn't he?

I did say Ludo in his prime, he was brilliant those first few seasons and yes did drop off.

But this is only Fab's third season.

The one that has stayed with me was the Metgod Free Kick when Parkes was in goal, late 80's i think in the Cup. Parkes was a big bugger and it went in over his head, HOWLER
