We missed Rice, Cresswell getting down the flank, crossing and Antonio, top four looking a tough ask now due to injuries.

With more composure from Diop clumsily getting in the way of Fab for the first and Fab punching the ball away instead of dropping it for the second we would have come in 0-0 at HT and won 2-1.

A magnificent fight back from 2-0 down. Team down to 10 men and do the heads go down. No.! They keep fighting. And that is what we love. To claw back 2 goals was excellent. It is superb to see the fighting spirit. 3 key men out and Dawson off..and still we keep going and score goals. Sad that we could not achieve the draw but we sure fought hard for a possible point... ...WHF/Fenton.

I thought it was COVID specific, well neigh on 6 months! It certainly feels like it...

I’m still in the break club rules get the club punishment... otherwise what’s the point of the rules.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester- Official Match Thread FT 3-2
Romford - wasn't covid specific was it, just club rules.

Besides the country hasn't been stuck inside for 6 months, it was 97 days and most people have been out.

Wouldn’t test mine

The country has been stuck inside for 6 months at in some cases huge personal sacrifice... players break protocol they should be pulled from the team

Couldn’t care less if it means champions league or not

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester- Official Match Thread FT 3-2
Lily - it would test anyone's but without it we probably wouldn't be fourth anyway.

Our team spirit is massive and we're so much greater than the sum of our parts.

Fair enough.

As much as I agree with sticking to principles, the exact scenario Ronald painted would certainly test my principles.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester- Official Match Thread FT 3-2
Lily - was his choice, said when he came in he wanted discipline at the club

Said they broke the rules and there has to be consequences

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester- Official Match Thread FT 3-2
They set rules. You break rules you might as well never have any and then you have zero discipline. If Rogers has broken his rules what do you think would have happened?

Lily Hammer 10:16 Tue Apr 13
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester- Official Match Thread FT 3-2
Was it Rogers’ choice to exclude the players, or are there rules that say he has to?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester- Official Match Thread FT 3-2
Covid wasn't the problem. They broke club rules, has to be consequences to breaking them.

We have discipline at the club now, without it we're not we are.

So yes he would have to do it.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester- Official Match Thread FT 3-2
yes but that principle may of just binned them out of the champions league

I think it was the point of principle

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester- Official Match Thread FT 3-2
Cases are down to about 2000 a day out of 54 million people

the players are idiots but the COVID risk atm is very very low surely. I would of made them do PCR tests if negative they play

The risk is very low to possibly write off champions league over it is foolish IMO

I thought what Rodgers did was unbelievable and has gone up in my estimation.

What Ronald has said; I’m not too sure how WHO would have reacted.

I think I would have accepted it if Moyes had done the same. Think.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester- Official Match Thread FT 3-2
Have THIS hypothetical.

Going into the final game, Rice , Antonio (both now fit to play) and Lingard fail to observe the CONVID protocols. Moyes drops them.
We lose that game, and which means we just miss out on fourth.

Happy with Moyes' actions?

Have to say I think Rodgers is a class act and spoke very well when grilled on it

Had one of the "Big 6" done that (never in a month of Sundays) the media would be all over it for weeks.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester- Official Match Thread FT 3-2
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but a quick thought about Leicester’s position on penalising the 3 twats who broke COVID rules even though it was detrimental to their squad yesterday. Pure class and well done to them.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester- Official Match Thread FT 3-2
Some team this, keeps on grinding out results against the odds. Lingard unreal again, Coufal very good too. Arthur superb going forward then last 20 minutes no brain whatsoever

but we keep on rolling on

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester- Official Match Thread FT 3-2
There doesn't seem to be any realistic discussion about the standards of Premier League referees

Was it only Clattenburg who got invited to the euros once? and not one to the next one?

They are collectively useless and have no standing in the international game. They police themselves which is an even bigger flaw in the set up. They introduced their own version of VAR rules last season, fucked the game up for everyone, and had to fall into line with EUFA standards — what could be more embarrassing than that?

They are an absolute disgrace and should be called out on it.
