Pagey,

Most players are overated so that the selling team doesn't appear desperate to sell and/or to get the actual amount they want.

Wolves say Traore is worth £50 Mill or similar. In reality, they'll take more or less £30 million (I said we should seriously consider offering £25 - £35 million) you say £15 - £20 million, ok fair enough.

If Wolves really play hard ball and don't come down to £25 - £35 million then we shouldn't sign him.

Russ said he would like us to sign a striker who'd score 10 goals a season - he didn't think Traore could,so again that's fair enough. Personally, I reckon Moyes could do his stuff and turn Traore into that Antonio type striker and get the 10 goals, but I can understand peoples scepticism to that.

When people come out with over simplistic, ignorant bollocks, like "he's only got pace " when clearly there's more to his game, then I'll call it out.

Maybe, like most players, some people rate him and some don’t? I think Traore is hugely overrated and is worth £15-20m tops.

Some people didn’t really rate Rice believe it or not.

According to rumours (if they're to be believed)they're up for selling him and Neves because they're the most expensive asset they have and they need the money

If you're going to play that game, how comes Liverpool are interested, if all he has is pace?

SUM - why would Wolves be open to selling him?

Lacazette would be a good option if you could get him on a years contract. But he will be looking for big money and a four year deal. Way too long for him.

Although he's improved a lot, Traore loves to beat his man and an then cross it out of the fucking stadium.

Moyes would have to use his creepy ginger magic on him to convert him to striker or something.

50m. Nah.

Lacazette is exactly the sort of transfer we should be avoiding.

Lacazette is exactly the sort of finisher we need

Can get him cheap in Jan

personally I think we need a striker that will score us a minimum of 10 league goals. That's not Traore.

The fact that we're saying that we wouldn't be able to sign him because he'd be too expensive, means he's good enough for us.

the exile,

If he's all those negative things you say he is, then why would Wolves want or think they can get so much for him?

Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 0-1
We won't have a chance of getting him unless Wolves go down, and he kicks up a fuss or they need a firesale.

*hopes Wolves go down*

"He simply isn't going to be worth what Wolves are going to want for him"

I agree. The latest report is that they want £50m for him. From what I've seen, he isn't a £50m player. He might well be in the future, but I wouldn't want us shelling out that for him.

SUM - it's true in the sense that pace is his only indisputable attribute. In terms of every other quality he is wildly inconsistent, genius one minute, dire the next, and all shades in between. He simply isn't going to be worth what Wolves are going to want for him. Your faith in Moyes' ability to transform a player is very touching, but he would need to be a miracle worker in this case.

Accept that's not true, is it? Very lazy, that, especially for someone who normally puts effort into your team line up Fred's.

Traore has the ball retention, strength and ability to carry the ball up the field which helps to push back dominant opposition which then creates space in dangerous areas for our attacking players to perform. This also gives the midfield/defence a break.

Yes, his final ball can be wanting- but you can still aim that criticism at Antonio, from time to time.

I get it that a fast, more conventional striker would be preferable. But as I've stated the precedent has been set with Antonio and Arnautovic for Traore to fill that role.

By all means disagree, but don't deliberately leave out someone's good points, in order to try and prove a point. That's the kind stuff I was doing back in school.

There's being patient, and then there's taking over a year and 4 transfer windows to get a striker (which it would be in January, IF we get one) we've desperately needed.

I definitely don’t see traore here and I will wait to see how Toney does in the whole season…

Still think Moyes has maybe 1 or 2 targets and is being patient to get them

I'm putting up a case for Traore - you don't agree, fair enough.

What we are agreeing on is the fact is we need another fucking striker.

We shouldn't even have to be having this discussion.
