Same thing happened in the previous round vrs Utd, all the talk about it being their second string but failed to mention it was also ours. Not that bothered though, the press is what it is.

angryprumphs 7:45 Fri Oct 29, when Masuaku gets the ball I love seeing what he does to get up the wing, often it comes to nothing, but worth it for those moments of delight he gives us when gives a turn of skill and speeds of up the wing.

Agree Chim, To be fair gph isn’t like that. But some people on here seem to prefer loses, doom and gloom and moaning. Thankfully they’re not posting much these days.

I was amazed that we made 8 changes and were still good for a draw and then beat Man City on pens. The media make big that City made 9 changes, but do fuck off, it’s not the same with City’s squad and one of those change was bringing in de Bruyne? Poor journalism!

Happy days!

Completely agree. In the space of a week we've topped our group in the Europa league, beaten tottinham and knocked Manchester City out of the League cup.

How much better does it get than that? Yet some of you have to still find something to moan about.

Despite supporting West Ham for my entire life I still have managed somehow to remain optimistic. I actually feel a bit sorry for those who aren't.

I don’t agree with that gph. I think Masuaku has a football brain, plays some nice pass anticipating runs and the likes. Quite good a one twos going forward. He is very skillful, one of our more skillful players. He is not a defender though, I don’t understand how he ended up as a defender, his is a bit crap. Quite a good attacking midfield that can help out with some defending. I’m glad we still have him.

There was a punch up in block 229. I think it was over a seat. Group of foreigners and a couple of black blokes. First time ever in that block, I think. Anybody on here see it?

Masuaku did ok after the first 20 minutes yesterday with getting the ball forward a bit. Actually put the ball in the box, unlike the viking cunt.

Yeah but “Pep could make him have a brain”.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread - Carabao Cup
Masuaku is skillful, but has no football brain.

Not likely to change with management.

No, we need to scoop out whatever mush is inside his skull, and replace it with, say, Zabaleta's brain.

Just need them both to agree. Don't want to be unethical.

Dont think he was wasteful going forward last night. Thought him and Cresswell linked up well down the left. He looked a bit rusty sure......hasnt kicked a ball in ages and against some of the best players in the world so will cut him a little slack.

You mention good accurate passes, well last night he had the 2nd highest pass accuracy of the starting 11 with 91.3% so saying he doesnt do it isnt true as he did it last night.

I agree he doesnt THINK much, and ive clearly stated that below. I'll reiterate it would be far easier IMO for a world class coach to teach someone the thinking side of the game rather than the technical. But if Zinchenko can be a feature for a Pep side for years than Arthur with a brain can...... in my opinion.

Opps.

Arthur, once in a blue moon produces some decent football, works his way out of a tricky position which he often gets himself in or does a decent run and takes a few players on.

Make no mistake, he's fucking wank.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread - Carabao Cup
Masuaku is a rubbish footballer, an absolute liability defensively and often wasteful in possession going forward as he was last night.

He only has half decent games with Cress behind him, put him as left back or have Johnson or Flash behind him and he's all over the shop.

A few flicks and tricks doesn't mask how limited he is as a footballer. Technical players are those who make good, accurate passes, who understand the positioning of the game and THINK. Masuaku does known of those.

He'd do better in leagues that are a bit easier for sure, but he is not a Top 10 PL team player at all.

That you think he's so gifted and think he would get anywhere near a Pep team shows how little you know about football to be honest, if your other posts on here hadn't already given that away.
