It was just one of those days yesterday . The players looked shagged out from 10 minutes onwards . If anyone thinks the most important signing in January isnt someone to challenge iron mike il be amazed . As good as he's been he's nearly 32 he needs more rest than he's getting.

Tell you what, you know it ain’t right in midfield if Cresswell keeps trying to lump it up into the middle as soon as their defence has organised. This happens at least a couple of times last night and you could tell it was not to be our 3 points.

WHUDeano 10:10 Sun Nov 21, I’d like to see Diop take Dawson’s place as well. Not that Dawson is bad, but Diop is the future and improves with games.
Don’t think we should go to 3 CBS and wing backs as that means one less in attack and we need goals and bodies in attack.

Didn't see the whole game.
From what I saw though we had a few early chances. Put one of them away and it would of been different.
Rice was lacking in his usual energy.
A day off on Thursday have him ready for the next week.
The U23's won again and were top.
We need to use some of these in the Genk game. See if one or two can step up.

*Cresswell doing most of the crossing and Johnson coming inside and shooting off his right.

If Oggy's injury were to make us defensively less solid, I wonder if we might start playing wingback again, with Cresswell playing third CB.

-----------Diop Zouma Cressers------------
Coufal---------------------------------Johnson

Cresswell doing most of the cI doubt it'd happen, but you never know.

Coufal should be in the team, he's more prepared to get forward than Johnson and it gives us much more balance.

I thought we were running up a cul de sac up the left. We were a bit predictable too. Cresswell had no room and no one to pass forward to. I thought we should have had more ideas and switched the play more to the right or centre. Vlasic had no room to do much in that area either.

Re: ⚽ Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-0
Re Vlasic, there's absolutely no way he should be playing on the left side.

''No bad thing we have suffered a setback.''

A defeat is never good, but I was thinking along the same lines. i reckon Moyes will have learnt a thing or two yesterday.

Deservedly beaten. Wolves were more disciplined and more hungry for the ball than their opponents. West Ham were out West Ham'ed.

No bad thing we have suffered a setback. It reinforces the point to the board and coaching staff that this battling squad is thin and inevitably now getting a bit tired. Expect reinforcements.

A narrow defeat away from home to a team on a good run of home wins and now sixth in the EPL is not a sign of us having a bad patch.

We were a percentage point or two off our A game yesterday and it showed in our overall performance.

Re: ⚽ Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-0
Yarmolenko seems like a decent bloke and quite popular in the dressing room but, as a Premier League footballer, he offers pretty much nothing. It’s hard work watching him.

His last-minute winner at home to Chelsea which helped us to stay up in 19/20 was huge, but those moments have been seriously few and far between.

Lingard in and Yarmolenko out is a massive upgrade and would see us continue to improve the strength of the squad. Vlasic needs more time but it is a bit concerning at how little he even looks like offering. I think there is a decent player in there somewhere.

Re: ⚽ Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-0
Dawson haters, do fuck off he had a poor game and it gets mentioned as it does when he has a good game.

Zouma also wasn't at his best, so if Dawson has a poor game and Zouma isn't at his best because he's playing on the wrong side it makes sense to play Diop, so at least Zouma can play where he's best

Wtf is it with Antonio spending so much time out wide, surely it comes from Moyes, attacks kept breaking down with him. Yet when he moved central he was so much better as we're the whole team.

Antonio got bullied yesterday his body language didn't seem right from the off.

We were always going to have a bad patch within the season and perhaps we have one just starting with the run of fixtures we have.

However, I’ve thought that before about this Moyes team and they’ve bounced back strong, so let’s see how they react.

Agree though that this is really showing up the lack of the back up striker though. Bowen really doesn’t have the composure on front of goal to cover properly, same goes for Fornals. I love both of those players and what they offer, but they’re not reliable striking cover.

Also agree that I’d like to see how a Diop and Zouma partnership pans out.

Re: ⚽ Wolves v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-0
I thought Moyes summed it up nicely.

A few of the players weren’t at the races and you can’t afford that in this league.

Rice probably needed a few more days off to recuperate and Antonio looked jaded but a few were below par.

I thought Dawson did ok so not sure why the haters have it in for him but I’d be interested to see Zouma and Diop together.

As long as we don’t have to play on Saturdays we will be fine, that’s 2 points from 3 Saturday games this season.

Great to see Moyes deal with defeat with humility and common sense unlike the loud mouthed oaf from Liverpool last week!
