Personally not going to drop a right back for his goal scoring ability but I love the fact Johnson is pushing for his place. I want that all over the park. Just like Lanzini is push to get back in the team.

He’s useless in front of goal. That’s why Johnson should be our first choice RB from now on.

Regarding the chances, some of them were just mental how they didnt go in, not sure you can blame anyone. Was seriously like there goal was charmed, how Rice's didnt cross the line god only know. Although Coufal should be hitting the target with at least one of his.

Playing 5 at the back hasn't suited us for ages.Not sure when Diop last played there. Coufal didn't suit being a wing back he lacks the pace. Masuaku FFS doesn't suit playing anywwhere. He's lost any pace and can't cross, our worst player at the club.
I did warn that to give Masuaku a game we would have to change everything and low and behold we did. Diop didn't look like he was happy playing that far over,Cresswell didn't do overlapping runs and again didn't look that comfortable. We were far to deep as Moyes was heard instructing especially to Masuaku.
The BBC showed the fornation as 4-3-3 with Masuaku further upfield,felt this was a better plan
The change in play when we made the 3 changes was good to see,probably could of been done at half time and then I feel we would won.
I've used the dreadful word Masuaku far to much in the last week. Hopefully never again.

Think you put your finger on the problem, pace of Paintsil ( sounds like a DIY brand ) and Ito but that was allied to the room they had in midfield with an extra man first 20 mins. But fair play to Moyes and team, they saw we were being overrun in midfield and dropped Lanzini back, told Arfur to get more central and reverted from a back 5 to a back 4 and we started to get control. 2nd half we pressed better and bringing on the cavalry at 60 mins and we should have scored 4 or 5.
In the end, its finishing that is becoming our biggest problem which is a darn sight better than previous / pre-Moyes eras where the problems were all over the park, lack of fitness, organisation, fitness etc. etc.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game, fair play to Genk they tried to take it too us again, just like they did at our place. The majority of the first half they tore us apart, like no other team has in the last 18 months. We looked like we had never played with 3 at the back. As others have said, Diop in particular was woeful (after some excellent euro performances). Both Pantsil and Ito have got a lot of pace, and it really showed us up.
Moyes must have gone batshit at half time because second half we destroyed them. I ended up getting a complaint from a neighbour due to the amount of times I screamed at the telly from our chances.
Really enjoying these extra midweek games in the cups and seeing more of the squad players.
Finally, got to mention Benny, the way he stood matey up and skinned him for the second goal was sublime. Two more goals would have done him no harm at all (where is COYI these days, has he fucked off or changed his username?)

I think Cresswells delivery and confidence on the ball are a massive asset. His improvement is also heavily influenced by the setup of the team and actually having a decent midfield to cover his forward runs. For years we were being done on the counter whenever he ventured forward or teams targeted him as they knew the players in front of him did not track back.
Antonio has had to change his game due to injuries and he's not the rampaging athlete closing people down and bursting away on counter attacks. His game is about being in the right areas to score. It means he is a lot quieter on the pitch. He always looks gassed to me and doesn't win anywhere near as many headers as he did. Maybe he is too muscular and heavy to play that way. In any event his recent scoring runs prove he can still score goals and he is a handful. Have no doubt he will be very influential in where we end up. Even the best strikers have quieter spells.

I'm all for 'old timee' football over this modern stuff. And I love Cressers.
But last night, after our second goal, I thought, 'Blimey! That's one of our more average players, in the air, on the touchline, perfectly controlling a very long, slightly overhit ball with his chest and knocking a perfect pass to Benrahma'
I think only Bobby Moore might have had that level of skill in the old days. These days they can almost all do it.

Draw probably fair
Lucky not to be 2 or 3 down first 30 mins, then after that we played well. Created host of chances and could of got more than 2. To many players had a off day, Diop had a stinker first half hour. Nobes and Arthur not much better. Antonio also was far from his best.
2nd half much better, Benrahma's goals were superb....especially the 2nd. Could of nicked it at the end, thought Coufal could/should of got his name on the scoresheet. Gets in cracking positions just needs a bit more composure.
Draw in the final game will be enough to win the group
