Do you tip your postie at Christmas?

I usually shove a ton in an envelope for my regular postie at Christmas. Share the wealth and all that.
Having said that, I'm not sure they deserve a tip this year, given they have been on strike most recent Saturdays. I might reduce it to a tenner commensurate with the reduction in service they have provided in recent months.

Always gave my postie an Ayrton - but we used to drink together at the local so I got it back by proxy before the New Year was a week old.
Proper piss-head he was but as sharp as a blade; we had some energetic debates, that's for sure. His squeeze was a local Doris. She made a play for me a few times but carried too much timber to raise my pecker. He kept insisting he wouldn't care if I banged her - everybody else did. Still wasn't interested.

I give them a card explaining they weren't around when i was handing tips out and they can collect it from an office miles away which is open for five minutes a month

We went weeks over the summer not having our bins collected cos they were on strike, fucking road looked and stunk like Nairobi. And they leave the bins all over the shop, every cunt trying to find their bin which is halfway down the road. I'll probably find a bottle of alcohol free wine that's been sitting about, and give them that.

No I don't. And the reason for that is our postman changes almost on a weekly basis. Plus, they don't do any extra work at christmas, bar a few more cards which is fuck all. The delivery drivers do all the graft at christmas for obvious reasons. But i don't tip them either as they are all foreigners that throw your parcel's behind a bin or over the garden and log that they have handed it to you.
I do tip the refuse collectors. They work hard before christmas when everyone has a clear out. Through christmas when everyone throws more rubbish away than normal and then again after christmas when everyone has another clear out.

Bollicks to that ive been waiting over a week for a t-shirt when it should of been delivered within 2-3 days & forever on strike these days.
Ive had post for the wrong roads & next doors and a ruck with a neighbour after he was left a card saying i had his parcel which had actually been left over the road.
I was a postie in the late eighties and it was a blast with plenty of overtime for which you done very little work finishing early and night shifts in the depot spent playing snooker.
The only shit bit was the winter months and having to get up at 5 o'clock in the morning 6 days a week when on earlies.
Its now 5 days a week and different shift patterns finishing and starting later my mates tell me.
In the old days it was pretty much unlimited overtime and do as you like but aftetr the influx of the accession country workers things changed as the management had a ready & willing pool of workers to cover shifts and that were prepared to work part tine and zero hours.
