There Is an 83 shirt on there for £249 which gives you some idea of what they go for. Not so sure about kids sizes but should imagine they would still go for a nice few quid.

Ha ha, no. It was one of the site fantasists who claims to know all sorts about kit stuff but knows absolutely nothing. The Umbro deal was signed a LONG time ago.

Chers, even kids sizes? I'd probably keep the 1976 shirt with the chevrons even though it would only fit a teddy bear as it was birthday present from my very late gran. Mind you it itched like a bastard, bit like the 70's kids England shirt I have. Vicious material. Always wondered if the pro's played in those or if they had a better material because I can't imagine wearing those every week in any weather.

OTB - was it you that was saying we are getting a new kit supplier? same company as Wolves and Newcastle?

Zico They will be worth serious money if they are in good condition especially the older ones. I sold the old Bukta home and away shirts from 90/91 season for in excess of £100 each. Its worth having a look on ebay and the classic football shirt website who also have a shop around Spitalfields.

Always wondered what old shirts would go for. Think I've got every West Ham Home and Away and England Home from 74 to mid/late 2000's in a bin bag in the garage.,

The 1980s adidas home shirts were the best and also pre sponsorship. I used to buy every new shirt that came out in the 90s and early noughties and sold some of them a couple of years back at very decent prices. They just seem to rehash old designs these days so prefer to buy Fred Perry and vintage sportswear in the colours.

Why not stick with a traditional 60s/70s design but have it fade into full-on Millwall (or spurs if you're a post-96er) colours after 3 washes?
While we're at it why not also embed a miniature loudspeaker that starts screaming "Old kit! Old kit! Cheapo Charlie! Shirt wearer is a poor person!" after 6 months?

I pay about as much attention to fans that seem put out by kit design as I do to fans that moan about the quality of burgers at the ground….

Home - Claret Shirts with Sky Blue Sleeves or an 85-86 style, with white shorts and socks.
Away - Switch between Sky Blue Shirts with Claret Hoops and "small" sponsors logo if it has to be there. Sky Shorts and Sky Socks or White Shirts/Sky or White Shorts/Sky or White Socks.
Simple.

Pretty hit-and-miss. We've had some beauties and some outright ugly shit.
Best - 2015/16 home and away kits were beautiful.
Worst - 2022/23 - Pebble dash in the karzi knockoff of the 1991 home kit and Hawaii-Five-0 away kit with colors that have no connection to the club.
And for fuck sake, why do they persist with claret socks?

The last two home strips have been complete shit, I reckon 10 year old kids could knock up better designs that conform to our traditional kit

They could play in hitec and I would care so long as they tried to play football.
Reason being, I really like football and I don’t thing football shirts are fashion items
