Dutch Clubs Should be Banned from European Football

After last night's outrageous behaviour by AZ's fans attempting to attack the families of the West ham players and coaching team (including Moyes's 87 year old father) Dutch clubs should be banned from playing in European competitions for 3 years
The appalling lack of security last night was there for all to see
If it hadn't been for the bravery of one West Ham fan (I believe he's name is Knollsy-?) and his mate holding back the cowardly Dutch mob things could have been considerably worse
Our fans shouldn't have to do the job of their security for them
If it was an English club doing this then you just know that's the punishment they'd get!

Rowenta - there is a story doing the rounds that West Ham intend to have some sort of fan park thing at the training pitch immediately behind the stadium store next to the ground but not confirmed

What sort of kudos were those AZ supporters expecting from all that? 150 of them thinking it would be a good crack to go after a family area of the ground?
Whatever image they were trying to give out, it's spectacularly backfired.

Bollocks do they really think it was "retaliation". They conceded and were pissed off those families and friends were celebrating. I don't believe for a second those hooded twats thought "I'm going to wait until the final whistle and then I'm going to try to storm the VIP area for West Ham because I'm so angry at WH fans shouting and gesticulating at our lot last week".
And they weren't 'attacked', there are some still photos I've seen from the home match of a couple of WHU front up to them but nothing anywhere that I've seen suggesting there was any physical contact with anyone. I wouldn't call that an 'attack'.

There's a big difference between telling a small group to shut up and be quiet, and 100+ men attacking player's families with belts. Big fucking difference.

Think Frankfurt made similar excuses for attacking West Ham last year. But we’ve all seen Frankfurt play up time and again
And on to this year. Plenty online to suggest AZ also played up against Lazio, and that Netherlands fan culture generally has a big problem.
But carry on making excuses - couple of hundred organised AZ fans steaming into a small number of families and friends, got what they deserved.

Totally agree that what happened last night was a disgrace but punishing all Dutch clubs would be just as ridiculous.
I don't read anything about it on here, but are any of you aware of the AZ perspective? They have rightly been massacred in the press and online over the past day but their "fans" believe their act last night was one of retaliation for what happened in the athletics bowl last week. Then, families and friends of the AZ players were attacked for celebrating when AZ scored. They were then moved to somewhere at the back of the bowl but apparently the atmosphere was pretty grim for the rest of the evening.

Alkmaar were retaliating to what happened to the Dutch last week. Big commotion in the stand behind the away teams subs bench. Few people were then escorted out of the stadium. Later turned out to be family members of Alkmaar players.
