Michael Carrick is the worst of the golden generation

Watched the United game last night, Carrick was fucking dogshit.
Always took the cowardly option by passing sideways, gutless at tackling and for a big lad, he's shite in the air. In fact, he looked exactly like the wimp who helped get us relegated.
Apart from a season a Spuds, this lad has been found out. Out of all the golden generation - Defoe, Lampard, Rio, Johnson and even Cole - Carrick is the biggest flop. I think we can all agree on that one.

My point is there are very few and we'll always lose players like all clubs do because you can't tie kids to a contract and it comes down to back handers, who's paying the kid most attension etc etc
Our academy is without doubt on of the leading ones in the country.

Wasn't Shelvey taken out of our academy because he believed Charlton was "better" and in better gave him a bigger back hander.

As said in previous post all opinions about The Academy but not wanting to engage in cross / friendly fire with KIA who seems to think he does Know It All I would concur Chelsea would most certainly have offered the better deal. They certainly did with Joe Cole anyway.

Will do read a book as opposed to popping a tablet as insomniac tendencies but this book has so far sent me to sleep quicker than most as a Hammer.
Something else that never occurred to me is J.Cole born in Camden Town North London , yet ends up a South of the River Supporter as a Kid but plays for an East London Club ??
Bad as Redknapp declaring he was an Arsenal Supporter as a kid in his autobiography not mentioned by to many Yids I know !

Carrick's had a good career, but he hang progressed in the last 2 or seasons. A shame, as he could have been one of the best

Have only read the first 1/ 2 chapters and nothing mentioned as yet but way it is going will be surprised if mentioned at all.
Agree with you fantastic talent no doubt but played let side midfield for ENGLAND aspirations NOT West Ham ( Bit like Sinclair ) so a big NO from me so far. Will try and remember to report back when i read further.

Not really seen him enough at man U to comment.
Still remember him at 18/19 outplaying Viera in midfield for us.
Cole is the bigget flop of that lot.
