Re: Paolo
Mentor, look at the bullshit you are writing, claiming educational superiority, quoting historians, what fucking historians, you bullshitting cunt. You say nothing but a sad perverted worthless opinion. People have to remember that just two generations ago our grandparents were putting there lives on the line to give us freedom and get rid of the fascist states, yes lead by Hitler, Mussolini and Franco that had taken over most of Europe. Those people, probably people in your family, gave you the freedom to say the bullshit you spout and it is time you acknowledged that and gave respect to our forefathers and called fascists like Hitler what they are, fucking fascist cunts, cunts cunts cunts.

Ohh, I feel a little better now. It saddens me to see new generations making excuses for ideologies like fascism and trying to redefine history. Denying what happened so that the same paths can be followed again. Sickening to see fascist youths, what are they thinking.

Ohgoho, I take your point and probably Paolo is not a fascist, but we should remember he did a Hitler salute to Italian fascists! Pretty damming stuff. I imagine John Terry is not a racist, but he called Anton a black cunt…what do you do?

I was at swindon as a youth team player so still know a few people in the area. They absolutely love him.

Wonderfully put Fivetide.

The guy wears his heart on his sleeve, wildly emotional but with the best of intentions at heart. He has pride in everything he does and expects the same in return. Apparently the Swindon team eat, live and breathe together and it shows on the pitch and it's either you're in or in the way attitude.

As a man the guy is special, when my 6 yr old boy met him recently he was simply wonderful and left a huge impression on us both. He even showed him his West Ham tattoo with a wink. Congratulations to the Swindon board on his appointment. Whatever happens on the rollercoaster ride that is Paolo Di Canio i just hope that one day he'll be at Upton Park

Re: Paolo
Paolo is a nut case. He often threw his toys out of the pram. He was frequently uninterested away from home. Sometimes his teamwork was non-existent. But bloody hell I've never thought "I'd have paid the money just to see him" more times than when he was with us.

All this mental baggage is part of the makeup that made him great. His arrogance and tantrums were other facets of the single-minded genius that drove us to win with style against top teams.

I wouldn't change him for the world and would have him back in a heartbeat, even with the inevitable problems that would arise along the way. Football genius.

Paolo is an loony. I doubt he's a facist really he just appears to do whatever comes into his head at any particular moment. Depending on his mood. Also arsey, contrary people who refuse to follow rules on principle (as he appears to be) are usually the first against the wall.

Re: Paolo

To suggest Hitler was a fascist is like calling a psychopathic murderer a bully. He was a Nazi and a horrible one. That's what they named themselves. Mussolini was a fascist because that's what he called himself. Be careful of definitions because historians with far more credibility than the various dictionaries have been arguing over the definition of fascism for years.

Are you a paedaphile?

Re: Paolo
I never understood the dislike of Paolo's antics. The bloke is obviously mad. Not mad as in "likes to act out now and then." Mad as in "can't turn it off."

It'll be interesting to see whether this impinges on him being a good manager.

Re: Paolo
Face up to some facts mentor, hitler was a fascist, read the definitions. Who do you want to defend, fascists or hitler? Are you a fascist? They are all despicable for their superior crap.

I loved watching Paolo, defended him a lot on here in debates that went on over the season and years that he played. I think I won them it was not difficult he was a great entertainer, it was great to have him in our club, but lets not forget he does hiltler salutes to Italian fascist. I guess everyone has there bad points... Perhaps it is a little extreme to compare him to hitler, but do not fool yourself, hitler, mussolini and franco are the pinnacles of fascism. Who the fuck would aspire to that trio of cunts..

Re: Paolo

Mussolini was a fascist and not in any way racist until he joined forces with Hitler. Hitler's Nazism went far beyond fascism, so what the fuck are you going on about? I don't suppose for one minute that Di Canio advocates the mass rounding up of all non-Italians. Have you ever considered an education, Martillo?

Hitler wasn't a fascist.

Oxford dictionary definitions:
Fascist
noun
an advocate or follower of fascism.

Fascism:
noun
[mass noun] an authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization. (in general use) extreme right-wing, authoritarian, or intolerant views or practices:
this is yet another example of health fascism in action•The term Fascism was first used of the totalitarian right-wing nationalist regime of Mussolini in Italy (1922–43); the regimes of the Nazis in Germany and Franco in Spain were also Fascist. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one national or ethnic group, a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach

Re: Paolo
Push comes to shove I don't think either Redknapp or BFS would be interested in the England job. You can't buy and sell players so no little bonuses there and you are not allowed to play Africans in the England team.

strong dreams 11:51 Sun Jan 8
Re: Paolo
I see Capello being moved on when the current arrogant England squad fail yet again to win anything. The press and the BBC will call for an English manager. BFS will be at the top of the list having established WHU back in the premier league. Harry will have too many dodgy dealings to be considered. This will make way for PDC's triumphant return to lead us into a decade or more of success.

I'd like West Ham and their fans to have his passion but we'd only end up embarrassing ourselves with fans singing Paaaaaaolo Di Canio all game instead of getting behind the West Ham team.
