Why do we have to wait so long for Morrison to play?
|
|
Is he not yet match fit, can't play with a tag on, has already nicked Sam's watch?

Morrison could well be a good player but how many on here have seen him play? And why are we pinning our hopes on an 18 year old who has had less than half a dozen first team games?
Mascherano did not get a look in because he could not play in a midfield 4 in the same way as Nolan struggles. However, because he is Argentinian and the media say he is world class we were at fault for not accomodating him but funnily enough in a similar situation with Nolan we are criticised for accomodating him. Is it because he's English?

As someone said on another thread, he may just be the surpirse package we introduce to push for the top spot. God knows we need a fucking spark.

No, either Im not making myself clear or you are deliberately misunderstanding what Im saying...
For those, like me, who aint seen him play and only know of his reputation, we were expecting him to feature, at least on the bench, before the end of the season.
Eddie was alluding to the fact that he is "unfit "because by all reports he is the fucking dogs bollocks and should easily make it in to a championship side.
Once again to reiterate for clarity sake. "We as fans, who have never seen him play, like you by the sound of it, would have EXPECTED to see this highly rated, talented new transfer make an appearance soon because we are seeming to be short of his type of player on the bench..."

The simple reason is that it takes some time for some players to be programmed into playing the West Ham way. In the same way that Mascherano couldn't get a look in.

OK, so its based upon what you've read mate. Now I know. Someone whose opinion I trust went yesterday and said that on that showing he was unlikely to figure soon. Maybe he had an off day

This thread will be a thousand posts long before Morrison plays.
And it'll be for Aldershot.
FACT.

People up north have been talking about Ravel for fucking ages and Ferguson himself said he is a big talent and once he started behaving himself he would have a big future.
Considering the type of players we have on the bench, our need for a creative and speedy midfielder, all the hype that surrounded the lad, its only natural to want to see what he can do after a few games in the Dev squad.
Eddie was making the point 'How unfit is he to still be in the Dev squad and not make our bench' considering he is a talent and should be already match fit.
We all want to see our new man in action, especially as we are struggling up front, at home....

You see Sams interview with the Dubai irons last week 85?
BFS said the kid has been a revelation in training and has people "creaming" their pants at his ability.
With the "lack" of creativity in our midfield last night, I don't think Sam has any other option than to give him a go.
Not saying he's going to be the answer to our problems but the fact he's been "bigged" up and singled out for praise surely must mean he's close to getting a chance.

Got a feeling he'll at least be on the bench this Saturday, in fact I'll be gobsmacked if he isn't.

...but what is the demand for him to play based on? Hunch? Gut feeling? You Tube? I'd really like to know

I was all for letting him get used to living in London, training hard etc.
But lets face it, he has to be as good as Lansbury. And if he is as good as they really say he is, he is the missing spark that we need to cut these teams that sit 11 men behind the ball to bits.
Its the element of suprise, get him involed in the matchday squad.

Did anyone see the development squad game and how does Morrison look? Anywhere near ready?

Bit uncalled for "Onside", Eddie has a point and unless the Dev squad defeat was solely down to Morrisons fitness, then his point still stands.

No, you're entitled to an opinion but if you've never seen him play then that opinion is, frankly, worthless

Eh? What a pathetic post. Cos I didn't take the afternoon off and travel all the way to Colchester to watch the reserves, I'm not allowed to have a fucking opinion?

Eddie B 8:31 Thu Mar 8 Re: Why do we have to wait so long for Morrison to play? How bad a shape must he be in if he can't get on the bench at the moment, is he missing a leg?
Instead of bleating, you should perhaps have gone to see him play for the development squad in their 2-0 defeat yesterday afternoon. Then at least your opinion might have some credence. Have you EVER seen him play?

I think there has to come a time when we need something different on the bench
