Sam i think just wants us to beat everyone else but draw atleast to the top sides so plays defensively against them. Then hopes the smaller clubs pick up points at the other top clubs.

There won't be no long term for fat sam, he'll take us up, have 2 seasons of saftey and awful football, coupled with giving up both cups straight away, this will result in unhappy fans and a call for a change.
I don't see him as a long term manager, bar bolton, everyone hates his football.

You may be right, crue, but credit where its due; he signed young, up and coming players in January, so even if he left tomorrow he would leave us with a string enough to squad to do what's required.
What has always worried me about him is that he would do as you say, but leave us with a squad of ageing pros no longer good enough; but he turned that round in the January window. Good luck to him. Very impressed.
