FA need to get their own house in order before preaching about morals and standards when it comes to footballers blogging. What happened to the days when the FA just dealt with football? now they seem to want to police the internet. If they left it to the clubs to deal with perhaps they could then get about the business of appointing an England manager who actually speaks the language, just a thought.

I'd say Carlton was more innocent than Morrison, he clearly meant his comment as a joke whereas Morrison was basically offering someone out.
Is using the word 'faggot' as a sincere insult, publicly, worth an FA charge? It probably depends when/where you grew up as much as anything else. Morrison has grown up in an era when he should know better & should conduct himself more professionally. West Ham have taken a serious gamble on him, paying him good money he's done precious little to merit (yet) and I don't think it's too much to expect him not to run his mouth in such a provocative way. He will know exactly what the media are like nowadays. Needs to grow up a bit IMO.
