But he has turned them down, according to Jeff Stelling. Looks like Bruce will get it then.

I agree he's NOT a prize cunt. He makes choices that suit him - he was NOT put on this world for the benefit of others.

That seems to make a few knuckle-draggers uncomfortable because it challenges and questions their long held and passionate BELIEFS (I think "this" and everyone who doesn't is a cunt, basically).

As we all know, beliefs trump facts every time.

And don't give the the "sued West Ham when we were broke so must be a cunt" bollocks. West Ham were, in this case, bang out of order. They were WRONG. They had a legally binding agreement but CHOSE to ignore it.

Some people find the concept of West Ham being anything other than a paragon of virtue - a role model for other clubs - difficult to grasp, but that's their problem to deal with, not reality's.

I've applied for the England manager's job. I know I won't get it, but it keeps the dole people off my back for another couple of weeks. My mate made the mistake of applying for the Wolves job. He's got to go for an interview on Monday.

Sorry Joke - do you agree the man's a prize cunt or not?

Re: Wolves offer Curbishley manager's job.
If it's not on HIS terms he's quite at liberty to tell them to shove it, despite what (it seems is) a majority on this site think he should do.

Maybe he HAS got to that point in life where he doesn't need any more income than what he already has to fund HIS chosen life style. Maybe, having been in the business all his life he can easily spot a patsy and swerve it.

He doesn't have to touch his forelock and kiss any director's arse just because he's an east end boy, even if it's what a few on here would gladly do.

Maybe he KNOWS HIS PLACE in the world better than any cunt on here because he's spent all his life carving it out for himself.

I used to enjoy watching him as a lad but he was never (NEVER) in a month of Sundays going to be in front of Brooking so he had to make a choice about HIS future, one that was best for HIM as HE saw it, not what 30,000 people who paid to watch him once or twice a week "saw" it.

Personally, I think the move to Birmingham was a backward step - I did then and still do today as there was a clash of footballing styles. That being said, he did have very few options open to him; if I recall, English clubs at the time were awash with players of equal or better calibre than him in the position he played.

Re: Wolves offer Curbishley manager's job.
But I thought he was a miracle working manager, adept at keeping clubs in the top ten of the Premierleague with little or no resources and was responsible for the West Ham Great Escape when we were odds on to go down?

Or could it be that all that is bollocks and as it's not on his terms he's not interested.

also, lets not forget that the manager cant bring in any players, he is stuck with the squad that mccathy assembled, and wolves seemingly are only offering each candidate a deal until the end of the season.

unless they offer a decent term contract they are really going to struggle to attract anyone.

"Wolves are struggling to get a manager aren't they. "

That will be on account of the "Bring your own pot to piss in" clause in their manager's contract.

i guess his point is that he probably wants a 2 1/2 year deal at least, he doesnt want to take a 6 month contract, get blamed for them being relegated, and then not have the chance to get them back up again. i can see his point.

Apparently they've gone back and asked him again, and he's turned them down AGAIN.

How much money did he make from us? He must be minted, he hasn't work for almost four years!

I love his thread - come on KIA, for once have the humility to say you were wrong. It could be a great day for you, the day you unburden yourself and find a new sense of freedom.

We are all behind you big man, we all want you to succeed but you have to want to yourself as we can't make you.

Good luck x

Maybe he is waiting for the Real Madrid job to come up in the summer (remember they did take Faubert) or maybe he just prefers the sofa.
