Decent and Like are a bit different. Friends was a massive series worldwide. I was comparing the programmes based on the canned laughter. I've watched both, both are crap imo.

This program is massive at my kids school, they all watch it. As a result I have had to sit through a few episodes and must say that once you get on the wavelength of the characters, it's actually quite good. The Sheldon character is very convincing.

I think it's ok, much better than 'How I Met Your Mother' in my opinion.
I think the best US sitcom's on at the moment are 'New Girl' and 'Happy Endings'

Absolutely some of the worst shit to masquerade as comedy, ever.
It's a shame because the Septics have some good comedy shows. They also have a lot of fucking awful ones, of which this is included.
Really, they should stick to the animated stuff as it's far better and they do it so well.

What's scarey about this thread is that I absolutely agree with every single word I've read by i-Ron on this thread. I don't think I missed anything. What were the chances of that happening??
As to the laughter track, it was made for Americans. That doesn't change the fact that it trancends its original target audience.

It's quite funny, nothing more than that.
Prefer How I Met Your Mother on before/after it.
And for the record I think Friends is one of the unfunniest programmes I've ever seen.
Utter shit, with no redeeming characters.
Utter mystery to me how that was so successful and people (women or gays I presume) can watch them over and over again, never laughed once.

Fucking dreadful programme. The mother in-law always has this shite on when me and the misses are round there. Any programme with pre recorded laughter is shit. Friends was and is the only decent one with it, but it has its good point, the blonde is very nice.
