really and i mean REALLY enjoyed watching England play ?
For me it was the trip to Munich in 2001. I was fortunate enough to be given a ticket and the spanking of the germans 5-1 in their own backyard was unbeleivable especially after going 0-1 down.
Thought we was going to piss all over the world after that !!

i went to the world cup in SA but not to watch England and as sad is it was i had no intention before going of doing so i watched 6 games - the only England game i went to was the game they won - not inspiring at all found it really difficult to want to follow c***ts like Terry , Cole , Lampard Defoe etc who you see week in week out and mouth off too. I am going to Brazil whether England get there or not and have no intention of following them unless they are staying where i book up and i will book up before the games are known. I want them to win of course but i cannot get excited about them - wouldnt even contemplate going to any Euro tournamounts or world cup qualifiers. Sorry thats coming from someome that is patriotic .
Following Northern Ireland is shall we say is much more fun.

Great fans the Dutch. Was in Amsterdam the day they beat Argentina with the late Bergkamp goal in the 98 World Cup, fantastic night.

Used to be really passionate about it, now I couldn't give a shit. Doubt I'll even watch the euros on tv.

England v Sweden watched in cologne in a little library bar place full of swedish girls and us. The swedes were great fun and very accommodating whilst the English knuckle draggers were smashing the plastic furniture up in the main square and getting batoned by the German rozzers.
I loved that moment in time.

and i went to all the home games for about 6 years at the end of the 80's - mid 90's
now i couldn't give a shit

We playedwell when we went over to Germany and beat them 2-1 (Upson & Terry scoring)... otherwise it was the game v the Argies (3-2) which was an absolute cracker... otherwise... I can't remember hardly an England game worth remembering?
