Blackpool 1-4 West Ham. The positives and negatives thread.

Positives: We won 4-1 away from home, with ten men and an outfield player in goal for almost 40 minutes.
Negatives: Do fuck off, you moaners.
(Although, you do have to wonder what we'll do about a goalkeeper for the next couple of games...)

This season just could not be going any more our way. We can talk about the football, the style, BFS, all of it but this turgid league is unable to produce any consistent quality, it seems, outside Upton Park or St Marys.
I've been waiting for Southampton to fall away and have so far been proved wrong that they haven't.
But all the rest - so far - just ain't got it. Dropping points like hot spuds the lot of them.
Maybe only Brum can threaten our promotion.

Could it be true, Steve P, that your comment betrays your youthful age? I would guess that you're too young to have any memory of the incredible buzz that the FA Cup gave us, the thrill of the first Saturday in January. It very rarely comes anywhere near that nowadays and for that we have to thank the SKY money thrown with great abandon at the top 20 clubs. The FA Cup is, whether media say so or not, being sidelined. A loss to those of us who remember the battles it produced and the sizzling atmosphere.

highlights for me -
1- the quality of the football we played using the width of the pitch and the pace of the front three. best footballing performance I have seen from a west ham side for many a day.BFS takes a lot of stick but this was a real footballing performance.
2- the all to obvious togetherness of the side
throughout and their fighting for the cause.
3 finally the return of the Jack Collison of old.I thought he was magnificent on the night.I truly hope he doesnt have to make way for an ineffectual Nolan as this will knock him back again

Bang on. Quite frankly while it was disappointing to lose in both cups early on, every extra game our promotion rivals have to play, while we get a rest, is a bonus from here on in.
Every cloud has a silver lining.

None of us were happy over the Sheff Wednesday result but it is appropriate to remember that we didn't play at the weekend while Blackpool had to play Everton in the Cup.
I was hoping that it would work to our advantage and it may have affected how much the Blackpool players had to offer in the second half when we got stronger...

I'd like to highlight Big Sam's role in last nights win, and indeed the two games previously. He has done a truly outstanding job.
How we reorganised, who we brought on for who, everything.
He is a top top manager. The cunts that think otherwise are mysteriously absent at the moment.
