It does sound like a bloody stupid appointment - albeit not surprising because their board made the job ludicrously unattractive to any big name manager. Why would anyone like Curbishley want to take it on with the promise of only a few months? I'd tell them to shove it in his position.
Saying that, you never know. This bloke may be a fantastic motivator or just someone the players really respect. They do have some tough fixtures coming up though, so I think they'll need either the north-west dogshit trio or QPR to help them out by continuing not to get any points.
