Bangkok Hammers - Quick Advice on bars/pubs showing Palace game.

Hello lads, just a real quick one. Am in Bangkok and have my dad over with me, first time since I left UK to travel a few years ago that we've had the chance to watch a game together at a decent hour. I've seen on here that the game is on a channel called Goal, I know plenty of places with Star Sports, ESPN and the True Sports package but no idea of anywhere with Goal.

Any advice that people can give over the next hour would be massively appreciated! Cheers

Not seen the straw trick, but ice in beer is still a big no-no for me.

The locals think I'm completely ting-tong but even a big bottle of beer doesn't have time to get warm in my experience, and in the tourist areas the small bottles of beer normally have condoms, anyway.

Was going to ask the same question, 67. At least with Chang you get to play the percentage proof lottery.

But Leo seems very popular with the locals (on account of price, I imagine) - and it's only saving grace is it's not Archer.

or asking anyone in there where they are watching the game next week?

Was there on a stag weekend with around 20 guys , so in reality it was on in the pub but ashamed to say didn't take too much interest in it !!

Was in Samui last weekend and caught the Palace game , alot of bars show the championship live game in parallel to any Premiership games but you might struggle in getting commentary and will be on a smaller screen.

Try a small bar and see if they have the channel they may just put it on for you ! they did for us .

Best bet is Chaweng near Mango street , try the Duke pub which is nearby.

Have a good stag mate , thats why I was in samui ( not mine)

Is this game on the BBC or SKY? Problem is there are prem games on at that time...to answer your question, no I wouldn't know of a a bar on Samui.

haha BC yeah mate to be fair can;t say i was too gutted to miss it it in the end, would have been with a fair few yanks - not the ideal sounding game to convert them was it!

I don't suppose there is anywhere on Samui that anyone would know of showing the Cardiff game Sunday? think i'm going to try to combine it as a bit of a mini stag do, no idea what all my pals are planning for me, but a 7.45pm KO would be a perfect start to the night!

Coffee - fly into Kolkata on 18th mate so could have a swift one if you are local....

Defjam - Yeah sorry mate things ended up cropping up that stopped us from making it! I'm actually getting married over here next week so have a load of family that have flown over from all round the world and ended up having to make sure they were all OK.

By the time me and the old man were free to watch the game the second half would have been starting and we were still in the Asok area! Tried to get it on in a pub called The Sportsman, the English bloke running it said he could do it but we waited around for 20 mins for him to get the sky link up, before deciding not to pay the same again when we could go over the road and pay 60 baht for a bottle of Leo!

Coffee - you still based in Kolkata? I'm flying over to India for 5 weeks in March and will be arriving into Kolkata first for a few days.
