Nolan again demonstrated what he's all about today.
He's a great finisher and has a nack of scoring very important goals from nothing situations.
In fact, the Palace game would've been ideal for him, last weekend. I bet you any money that he'd have hardly been involved in the game at all but then would've grabbed the winner for us by getting on the end of a cross or stabbing home from just inside the box.

He has to put it in ON and OFF the pitch... today he did... not happened a lot this season but today was a really good performance from the guy

Nolan. There is more to this than just what happens on the pitch. Nolan is a leader.
Same situation as Neil, who also copped flak for beIng old and slow. Didn't go so well when he left didi it.

I thought thought being Captain was part of Nolan's contract ?
Well according to WHO ITK at the time ?
Good Captain & leader IMO despite some other shortcomings.
Take off the C & B Specs that Noble was born in Canning Town etc Nolan as Captain by a mile IMO.

Well we were in the top 2 with Nolan captain, and we've done really well with Noble as captain.
So I'd say it makes fuck all difference.
Nolan should remain captain as he was given that job at the beginning of the season and has lead the team well. Giving it to Noble will just piss Nolan off.

Nolan. Whatever you want to say about his performances (which really haven't been that bad), he's a great captain.

Ive seen it all.
Noble will be our captain in the future but at the moment Nolan is the best leader we have, it would be degrading to even offer Noble some sort of "2nd captaincy"
