I agree Bill we should. But piss it? Can't see it but would love to be proved wrong.

Sheffield Utd lose again, Wednesday win
Down to a point behind but have played 1 more.

Swindon extend their lead at the top of League 2 with a 4-0 win over Dagenham & Cheltenham beaten

Re: Tonights Football
Of course I realise that, how could I not. Just like to show confidence in us occasionally, no matter how unrealistic. Besides, I think we are easily the best of a shite bunch and should win this league with the squad we have

Re: Tonights Football
Can we stop being fucking negative with all this "when pompey will go" talk.

It might not happen and even if it does it won't be till April and the points difference between all the clubs might be different then.

Until or IF the worst happens can we stop putting up league positions of what might be the table until then because its pointless otherwise.

If we win tomorrow we will be back to the top of the table and 4 clear of the play offs again and that at the moment is all we should care about.

I am a realist , not a dreamer , been West Ham too long!.

Thanks for the agreement though and thought Hull / Leeds result both dropped them down a bit as well.

Well done Ipswich though !!!!

Agree Sock, at the risk of sounding like a sychophant, you sum up our only real problem in a nutshell.

Its the immobile midfield that struggles to make space and room to create chances against the teams that either defend with 8 or 9 behind the ball or like Ipswich, Leeds and Palace first half are able to out number and out pace the snail team containing Noble, Nolan, Collison, Lansbury or O'neill. Faubert is still the only player who is mobile in the middle unless you count Vaz te as a midfielder.

Anyway, lets hope Maynard's movement in teh channels and Vaz Te's pace on the flank will address this in the last 13 or so games.

Spot on. Tonight's results were the best we could reasonably have hoped for. The late Ipswich goal is massive for us.

Now we must of course win tomorrow. I'm sure we won't do it the easy way.

Boro will lose 4 points and Southampton 1 point if Pompey go......

You're also not mentioning that the sides that have played Portsmouth twice would effectively get an extra game in hand of the sides that have only played them once.

Pompey are going nowhere ....yet.
And they will win at St Mary's on April 7

Southampton drawing, Blackpool losing, so both dropping points EXCELLENT

Added bonus of Leeds / Hull drawing as well probably best we could have hoped for in all honesty from tonight's games before K.O.

Surely this Reading roller coaster cannot go on ??
