Evening.
heading to "ton of greif" for a week , staying in peurto santiago , any of you wonderful lot stayed that part of the island?
also i have been reccomended the "theartre(sp) bar in las americas, can anybody vouch for this bar ? been told they show all the live west ham utd games , that would be a touch...
any feedback would be much appreciated as always.

Costa Adeje is fine. We stayed in las americas and walked through every day. passing veronicas strip is the only ballache and the lucky lucky boys picking your pockets.

Murf - is Adeje alright? I've got 2 weeks booked at the Gran there in July, but I'm starting to worry about the herberts round there now :-(

I'm in tenerife at moment. Staying at a hotel about 10 minutes from las americas / cristianos.
Walked into las americas a couple if times and am very glad i'm no closer. Further out there are some nicer restaurants/bars more frequented by locals, but when you can take you bearings on the seafront by 'mcdonalds' signs, its a non-starter for me!
Weathers fantastic tho' id a little windy.

Sad to hear las Americas is still seedy, loved that place in the 80's was decent.
Yes I remember the baguettes in foil too, also the burger and pizza place underneath paradise lost, was it one of you lot who tried to smash its windows in 1988?

My brother emigrated out there in 2011 when he retired from the Fire Brigade.
He lives in Vilaflor up on Mount Teide. The other half go out there every Autumn for a week or more and he takes us to some lovely restaurants and bars in little villages and harbours that mainly only locals seem to frequent.
We do pop down to the 'Brits abroad' areas occasionally, where the prices are higher and where the DVD merchants try to rip you off. But it really all depends on what you want to sample.

Isn't Santiago right next to Los Gigantes?
If so there are a number of bars that show the footy there and its within walking distance.
Give las americas a swerve if I was you.
Anybody stayed at the Alambra on Tenerife meant to be nice!

RM10, yes your right Las Americas is full of the bucket n spade brigade. There are some really nice 5 star areas, why people come to Tenerife and all they do is go to Las Americas and starcos is beyond me. Billy Go Wings seems to have the right idea.
As far as i know Burnley away isnt showing.

Starcos side is much better, where you've got your Yates, Linekers(sic) and Tramps when I think is the biggest night club?
I detest the place now, purely because the issues I have my eyes stemmed from going on holiday to that fucking shit hole.
