An ITK on ITBS says Morrison didn't show for another training session this week. Would explain his absence from the bench.

The boy needs to learn this is his chance, but he has to play by the rules. Or both the fans and the player will be asking in a year's time, what might have been.

I just hope that BFS has the guts to change his style of play because we do not have the players to play it.

Hugh, I think that just shows how desperate we are to try something different.

I want to see us with more mobility in the middle. Lansbury showed glimpses of this early on and seems to be a different player for the England U21s. I'd like to see him get a chance.

Morrison looks an exciting talent but we'll never see how well he can be if he never plays.

One thing's for sure, O'Neil is not the answer.

I think its hilarious how everyone picks Morrisson. Never seen him play!

Maynard, Vaz Tie and Balders up front for the rest of the season. Nice and lively.Shit or bust.

Cole should watch Carew and learn how to play as a target man.

Currently at services just after Birmingham

A few things.Plenty of chances were spurned by Cole,Taylor,Nolan,Carew and Baldock. One of those occasions when the ball wouldn't drop right for us in the box.

However the team was wrong from the start.Baldock and Maynard should have been the front two

In the first 68 seconds we knocked the ball long 5 times

We played more football with Baldock and Maynard but when we brought Carew on started knocking it long again.Although this did create a couple of chances a more measured approach with some craft and guile from say Lansbury I felt would have seen us snatch a winner!

All in all I left the game disappointed as the draw didn't do much for us and it was a game we should have won!

What a change in the seocnd half. As others have said it should be Maynard and Baldock up front form now on with Cole on the bench.
A game that wa sthere for the taking and we should have taken it.

Delusional.

Sam is spot on. Back home from the game (live in Mcr) and we had so many chances it was untrue. 0-2 at HT was a joke. At 2-2 we must've had 4 good chances in the last 5 mins to win it.

Hopefully Mayn and Bald will stay up front for Peterborough as they looked sharp second half.

Re: Burnley 2 v 2 West Ham - Official Match Thread (FT - & Reading Won 3-1)
agreed.

He is a real threat too opposition defences, same with Maynard.

Cole just aint good enough, he has strength but ability average.

Hes 6 3 ft and cant play as a target man which makes me laugh to be honest.

Carew is far better even tho his finishing is just as bad as Coles.

I would play 4312 for the rest of the season with Maynard Baldock Nolan just behind and let them form a partnership

1 pt from Burnley, 0 pts from Ipswich could just be the difference now, thats a massive 11 points dropped from 2 ordinary teams.

Sam says..

"I'm flabbergasted how we did not win that," said Allardyce.

"I'm stunned and shocked but that's football.

"I was stunned at half-time that we were 2-0 down. We dominated the game from the very start and kept slipping up. We kept missing chances. Whatever we did we couldn't find the net.

"In the second half we got better and better and then squandered so many chances. It's a massive cost to us because we should have won comfortably.

"This could be the turning point in our season with regards to getting automatic promotion. It makes things more tense and tight.

"I just told the players to carry on the way they were playing at half-time as chance after chance went begging.

"It was just two defensive slip-ups that cost us. The second one was an ordinary cross we should have dealt with. I've never seen a game like that."

Same. I bet his confidence hasn't been done any favours by spending so long out of the side, or out of position
