Our support
Simply terrific.

Fulham had 320 'supporters' at Manchester United on Monday.

Day after West Ham United send 5,000 to Peterborough, with more in the home end.

Contrary to what many say our home support is still better than most, as any who have been to many other grounds this season will have noticed - in spite of generally being a bigger game for them.

Yet in spite of our excellent support there is always more still we can contribute.

Forget Allardyce as his comments should not be a concern. There are very few elements fans can genuinely shape about their football club.

Our reputation and actual support is one of them.

So let's be even louder at home games, continue selling home and especially away, where West Ham United continue to be the best in the country.

As each individual sings another joins in, so let's create a raucous atmosphere at home to Reading this Saturday and never stop getting louder and louder.

It's about creating atmospheres at home as well as away that lead to our team getting more points and everyone knowing of our support as the best.

Let's make sure even more know that.

Besides, Peterborough is far less of a draw than Manchester United.

Re: Our support
Pards, slight difference in travelling to Peterboro midweek then to Manchester, can understand the lack of away support. However we're still God damn impressive when it comes to following the Hammers away from home.

Shasta, I was at Old Trafford for our games in 2008/9, and 2005/6, both were a Wednesday night, and we had thousands up there.

Re: Our support
Gus Poyet on our support;

"I absolutely loved playing at West Ham. Ninety-nine per cent of the time the stadium is full, there is always plenty of noise and most footballers enjoy playing in that environment," he told seagulls.co.uk.

"There is always something special about playing there because it's a magnificent place to play football. The pitch is always perfect and that's what you play football for. The players will be in a great situation on Saturday and I'll learn a lot from them.

"I'm looking forward to seeing how this set of players react to playing at West Ham. It will be a great test and a chance to learn for the future of this club."
