Michael Carrick - those of a 96er persuasion seem to think he is shit, those that understand football know that he is a class act.
Carlton Cole gets less credit than Kevin Davies despite being younger, fitter, scores more goals and actually plays for west ham.
Theo Walcott gets slated because it is fashionable, he is still very young and is very good and will be very very very good when older.

Makay was a load of old shit for us! He was like a huge fucking wardrobe cemented into the ground.
Luckily Pards dropped him and Melville, another old has-been, from the team and played Anton and Ward at the back and we managed to claw ourselves into the Play-Offs and then win the final.

Malkay Mackay. Always seemed to get sold whenever he won promotion. I loved the way he'd be making a vital challenge at the back one minute, going up for a corner the next, then smashing the ball into touch on the halfway line the next. A real powerhouse of a player who should have played at a higher level.

Probably played Lampard as at that point in his career Moncur insisted on producing a red card challenge within 10 minutes of starting in most matches...

Another name to the hat - Super Johnny Moncur
Used to be a massive fan of him!
Harry preferred played his nephew even performing way below par rather then playing Moncur!
He had great teckers. Very gifted player.

I was gutted when we got rid of Michael Hughes. He had more craft and skill on the ball than Skippy ever did. I thought he was one of the ones who got away (Hughes, that is, not Lazaridis)

I thought he was a finished player, but when arsenal signed him - he reinvented himself as a xabi alonso type player deep lying playmaker, as opposted to the more attacking role he played at everton.
