Fella that sits behind me at West Ham reckons he played golf with one of the WH coaches last week, and was told that Lansbury seems to have succumbed to the classic "£20k a week at 21 years old and thinks he's made it" syndrome. Saunters around at training and doesn't to be at the club. No idea how reliable this is, but thats what the fella said.

Seemed to do great for Norwich, praised by Wenger, new contract at Arsenal, doing great at under-21 level...
= clearly not good enough for West Ham.

With regard to the tomkins point - I could understand him doing it had we been 2 nil up and had something to protect - but at 2-1 down - it was a horrendous tactical misjudgement.
He can not pass a ball to save his life. It's cringworthy to watch. I'd compare it to Nigel Winterburn trying to kick with his right foot.
If he should've done anything with Tomkins, he should've put him at right back, brought on Baldock and stuck Faubert right midfield, put taylor in the middle of the park and Gone 4-4-2.

Poor player or poor coaching?
We will know in a couple of seasons when BFS has just been sacked from Scunthorpe and Lansbury is in the Arsenal first team - perhaps.

Has been shit this season, but surely better than Tomkins in midfield, which also weakens our defence.

I get the impression that Henri isn't very good. Perhaps to the extent that a player played out of position is a better bet.
If only we had the Frenchman with the English name, instead of the Englishman with the French name...

Arsenal wont be loaning us any players next year in the Championship, that's a given.
Teams like Bolton seem to have no difficulty at all getting the best out of young loanee Gunners.
The system is the fucking problem not the player.

We'd torn them apart for 40 mins before WITHOUT a holding midfielder, why did BFS think we suddenly needed one? AND we were losing at that point.

Maybe the idea was that having Tomkins sit in there was that the others could all push on more. That's not Lansbury's game.
