Guy Demel
Granted, he only played about an hour yesterday but he did well I thought.

I would definitely pick him over JOB every week, his big match and international experience might be crucial in what is the business end of the season!

Faye, Demel, Diop would have been in a better place if all had played more.

Re: Guy Demel
there were less long balls lumped forward as joey o'BOLTON was not involved.

Long may that continue! Lets hope Demel can play the remainder of the games.

Might have something to do with him allegedly regularly missing training.

Demel did fine. He couldn't have chosen a better match to return in though, he hardly had to touch the ball.

Re: Guy Demel
I was more dissapointed that Morrison was not on the bench, as yesterday was the perfect game to give him some playing time. It's a shame that in this leauge you are only allowed 5 subs as I'm sure he would have been on bench if we could have 7

Re: Guy Demel
He had a good game against the worst opposition we've faced this year. I won't go overboard. I don't understand the stick O'Brien gets either, he does a job and doesn't go missing.

Re: Guy Demel
I would love to have seen Joey in midfield more. Done well at RB but would add more steel to midfied IMO. Demel was a natural RB and once a very good one.

Re: Guy Demel
Decent performance and would have him starting Monday, but will be a much sterner test.
Can't quite understand why McCartney had to be moved to RB when Collins came on. Surely 1 for 1 is better and doesn't disrupt the team unless Collins is that bad at RB.

That joey O'brien! What a wanker! All he can do is defend solidly and give 100% effort. He doesn't even wear orange boots, the cunt.

Fucking morons.

Re: Guy Demel
I thought he was a very good signing for our division but he's never had a chance to show it due to injury. Looked a bit slow yesterday and nervous on the ball which is to be expected. I really want to see him stay fit and get on his game as he would make a difference. Neither O'Brien or Faubert are natural full backs.

Sensible to sub but we didn't have someone else on the bench to play there. I thought we lost a great outlet by moving McCartney but the game was won.

Good to see Bouba Diop come on too. He looked pretty sharp for a guy who has been out a while.

looked solid and offered support wide.

I have no doubt that he he would of played regular this season we would of been automatic promotion already.

hope he stays fit for the playoffs, his big league experience will be vital

Re: Guy Demel
It's a big shame that we haven't had the chance to see what he can do this season as, by all accounts, he's a very good defender.

sparkie 9:35 Sat Apr 7
Re: Guy Demel
Good to see him back but he looked knackered after half an hour, still if he'd been on his knees crawling round the pitch he'd still have defended better than faubert.

Who said it was a poor decision to take hijm off?

Yorkammer 9:27 Sat Apr 7
Re: Guy Demel
So it was a poor decision to take a player off who had not played for 5 months when we were 4-0 up.

What if he had stayed on and picked up an injury and missed the rest of the season. Would that have been a better decision?

If some on here managed the club we would be in the Conference in no time.

Re: Guy Demel
Demel hobbled off up the tunnel on his own after his substitution yesterday with a big ice pack (I think) above his knee.

I say that made it a wise substitution

I too was hoping for Baldock to come on with twenty minutes or so to go and give him a run out.
