I thought the reason we're good away and shit (relatively) at home is that we defend from the front and hit teams on the break away but that makes for dire football at home as it's exactly how the opposition will play. We play too defensively at home normally- but not today.
Nolan, Noble, Vaz Tey, Maynard and O'Neil as a midfield five are never really going to give too much support to the back four and I couldn't believe what Allardyce had done (but in a good way). It reminded me in a very, very, very, very, very small way of the only time I've been able to watch Chelsea over the years and the kind of cavalier football that got Big Phil the sack.
As a bonus at 1-3 I saw a big fat cunt storm past me shouting 'fuck this- this is fucking shit' as he went to the pub to miss all the fun, a woman in the same row as me screaming 'I'LL FUCKING SUPPORT WEST HAM HOW I WANNA FUCKING SUPPORT THEM AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT I'LL GO OUTSIDE WITH YOU YOU CUNT. IT DON'T FUCKING BOTHER ME'. I half-expected to see a gladiator on fire with a trident sticking out of his chest and four horsemen.
Like I say, top entertainment.

It's a massive shame that it looks more and more likely that we're going to have to settle for the play-offs.
I just hope that our players are man enough to step-up.
It's completely down to them.
If they step-up and deliver then they'll get the best support that they can possibly ask for from our supporters.

I thought the reason we have dropped so many pts at hone (esp recently) was because we've suddenly started giving lots of stupid goals away?
Bloody typical, just as we've started scoring freely we've forgotten how to defend, which is prob caused by the constant fucking injuries as usual.

When I turned up at UP today and saw the team I must say I was delighted. It was a West Ham suicide squad 4-1-5 formation and you just knew it would end up a high-scoring and entertaining game.
When people started to grizzle, leave and almost fight each-other (all three actually happened) at 1-3 and a bloke a couple of rows forward from me said 'what the fuck is that northern fucking idiot doing changing a team that had just won 4-0 away'? I had to say 'mate, I'd love to take the easy way and agree but when I saw how attack-minded the team-sheet was but we were always going to win big or lose big. This is at least a West Ham I recognise'.
Now we're nailed-on for the play-offs (don't be silly and think we're going to catch Reading) I would certainly like a few more performances like that and maybe tighten up the defence a bit. On second thoughts don't bother with the defence. That was a very entertaining game of football as long as you hung-on for the ride.
