Kev.... 2nd son ... Dullahan ran him down in the last furlong... he ran well but Dullahan ran a blinder.... Bodemeister ran an enormous race at the Arkansas Derby on the weekend (have a butchers at the Youtube)... pissed it by 10 lengths I think in a grade 1... he'll go off fav' in the Kentucky Derby in a couple of weeks I reckon

Following the RSPCA's demands that measures are taken place to prevent any more ugly scenes at the Grand National. Calos Tevez, Ian Dowie, Peter Beardsley and Joleon Lescott and been banned from future meetings

The more I think about it the stranger the proceedings of Saturday's race day seems... what a surreal day that was

Regarding my earlier post, Oddschecker had the 66/1 winner of Heritage (golf) yesterday. This followed last weeks winner of Masters at 50/1. Always worth following. Only need a couple of winers in year to get a profit.

It's a tough sport.... as tough as any for both horse and rider... but the simple equation is that without racing then say goodbye to the thorough bred horse... apart from cutting the field I am not sure how anything can be done to make it any safer... it's either as an owner or a supporter of the national you know there is a big likelyhood that you may not see the horse you owned/backed coming home.... not good but in perspective this is nowhere near as bad as what happend in the Dubai Gold cup... and that has been nicely hushed up (funnily enough)

Fuck off you fucking animal social workers. This horse has died a glorious death and now belongs to The Ages (and the rest to Wimpy).
Animal do gooders make me laugh. What if you had a fucking tapeworm? It's a life so why not let it reek havoc with your intestines?

Devestating news about Synchronised... not looking a wise choice running him in both the GC and GN now... something very strange with McCoy and him today... chucking him off before the race and then the walk up to the first... I said to my missus looked like the horse did not fancy it... According to Pete the daughter of the owner was in bits when Clare B' was speaking to her before the race... almost like she knew he was not gonna come back... tough sport... go from the greatest finish there has ever been in the National to the sad news... I bet O'Neill and Mcmanus are gutted... gone from winning the GN to second place and losing your Cheltenham GC winner....

Sam, weights definitely switching in it now - years since any horse won off that. French as well.

Livorno midfielder Piermario Morosini has died after suffering a suspected heart-attack during a match at Pescara on Saturday, Italian media reported.
The 31-year-old collapsed suddenly on the pitch during the game, leading to the match being abandoned.
Should ban all sports!
