I missed a couple at the start of the season, and I think the last 6 on the trot, going to the final game though.
I cannot believe I would ever feel it, let alone admit it, I cannot be bothered anymore, it bores me, get no thrill or buzz from it anymore. It's more of a pain in the arse going then anything. Not really down to Big Sam, I have felt it for the past couple seasons, but I guess I have had enough. Maybe I am the only one but I don't enjoy it anymore, or miss it at all.

Going to football is a major part of my life and has been for at least 25 years. I haven't had a season ticket for all that time, but for at least half of it and the last 10 years has been with Tom.
The only time I get with my son is going to football and if I was to give that up, I would no longer have anything to do with him, as he now has his own life with his own mates and If it means only having that one day every two weeks, then that is fine with me.
Now I know there will be the day when he will tell me he no longer wants to get a season ticket, it may well be next season, but all the time he does, I will renew.

Chim, mine was when we had Chelsea away and really needed a point at least, 'cos of relegation threat.
It was all pre-internet on phones and all that stuff, so I'd told a mate to text me as soon as there was any scores throughout the game.
I actually thought we'd gone and drawn 0-0, and brought an handful of people at the bar a drink to celebrate.
And then the penny finally dropped...

I once watched us at home live on the telly at midnight, freezing my bollocks off in Launceston Tasmania while it was lovely and sunny in London.
I was visiting my daughter at the time and I think it surprised her that I knew so many swear-words.

Chim, exactly the same - I end up getting far, far more wound up, when I'm not at games, than when I'm there. Always been the same.
I've even sat at a bar abroad before, getting all wound up waiting for score texts. (Then after a couple hours realising, that because of the time difference, our match hadn't even kicked off)....

That's the thing about going that you don't get on the telly. There are only a few cups any team can win so you get your happiness where you can find it. Be it a thousand of you digging out a ginger who's making wanker signs, taking the piss, 'LET'S GO FUCKING MENTAL' on the concourse, even the conga when you're sure you're getting relegated because Charlton have smashed 4 past you away in ANOTHER of those 'must win' games we never ever win.
Even against Birmingham the other day it was funny as fuck watching silly cunts storming out like they were seven-year-olds in a proper huff. I remember when I was a kid going home perfectly happy and my mum asking how we got on. 'Mum, we battered the other team- we were so good it was embarrassing'. 'Oh good. What was the score then'? 'Two-two'.
We've always been like that. Against Birmingham it felt like West Ham for one of the first times under Allardyce. A mad old team that would either win 4-0 or lose 4-0. Shit one minute, sublime the next. I really enjoyed it.
I would never dig anyone out who decided not to go any more. What gets me are the moany old cunts who seem so proud of not going they try and subtly infer that you're a mug for going. This is a West Ham site. We're pretty loyal even if we're a bit too rough for some.
I'm not going away at the moment under doctor's orders and it's fucking killing me, listening on the radio like I'm the only West Ham supporter in the world. I don't know how some of you do it. At least when we lose and I'm there the misery's comfortable as it's shared.

I've gradually been withdrawing over the last few years. Started with my old man deciding he'd had enough of the travelling at 70+ years old and then my kids starting to play making it harder for me to get to games unless I miss watching them play which isn't an option.
Still take them to a few games a season but to be honest I don't miss it that much, maybe I'll return on a more "full time " basis in the not so near future but i doubt it, we'll see. Too many other hobbies/ interests at the moment which are far more rewarding and far less severe on the finances.

won't have a ST next season under allardyce but will probably attend 'every other game' whilst moaning about the fella. like this season.
didn't renew this season due to finances BUT i would get a ST if they changed manager. simply put, this cunt ain't west ham and never will be. arrogant, longball, toadlike fuck.

I want to renew but prices will dictate.
I still believe theres nothing better than a day out at the football if you do it properly i.e. going to the pub, standing and singing and creating an atmosphere.
