mim - I read a lot about Sikhism when my mum insisted on taking my brothers ashes to India.
We were born here so see ourselves as English but our heritage is Indian through generations so i've always respected that.
Anyone whatever colour can go to any Sikh temple 24/7 anywhere in the world and get fed for free.
It's all about everyone being equal.
Same as during the riots the best tv was the Sikh channels in Birmingham where the Sikhs were defending temples at first then going out and helping everyone else...white black old young!

There is a massive difference here between the way Sikhs have gone about sorting out their problems, and the way Muslims have done it. Save that matey threatening to burn himself alive, its all been really dignified, and its been about acceptance and their way of life... not banning stuff cos it offends them and wanting to fuck everyone else up to appease them.
