Re: Chris Gayle
As in Michael hussey? Brilliant yesterday though looked like dying in the heat. 5 straight innings over 40 for him. Really enjoying this IPL and saved a fortune only backing this as my tenners last longer and am showing a profit backing the obvious ones using stats.

Re: Chris Gayle
he's a great player in any form of cricket. it was fascinating yesterday though watching the Mumbai Indians work out a perfect game plan against the big fella. doesn't always come off but Johnson & Malinga were spot on

Every player hits rough patches of form. His achievements speak for themselves. Phenomenal.

Re: Chris Gayle
He is simply the most destructive t20 batsmen in world cricket.

His figures indicate a good Test cricketer but not one of the greats.
Andrew Strauss is someone whose figures his resemble ..... around 100 Tests, early 40's batting average.

No, the stats speak for themselves, he most certainly is a Test player by any criteria

Re: Chris Gayle
A look at Chris Gayle's batting average and strike rate over the past two IPLs would suggest he is the best in the business. Which he is.

As with most prodigal talents, he gets the usual rubbish aimed at him... Can't do it in the big games etc.

There's no other T20 batsman I'd want in my team. Only Dhoni comes anywhere near close.
