Was going to do Luther or The Wire next - can you tell me which one is best of the two?

Miike - I just remember my mate getting me a ticket and me turning up! One of my mates drove and it took a couple of hours to find the car. Prodigy we’re brilliant and I was a huge Ocean Colour Scene fan back then too.

FMC - I saw it on Sky Store and it said I had a free voucher via Sky VIP so I bought it using that! I think you can rent it for £2.99. Acquiesce sounded incredible live.

Pagey, I was there too on the saturday. I thought the Prodigy stole the show, and agree the atmosphere was great. the only downside was having to get a train back to kings cross. I'll have a watch of that later

I just watched the Oasis Knebworth 1996 documentary and it was a decent watch.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket for the Saturday and definitely didn’t realise how fortunate I was at the time.

It brought back some good memories and it was lovely to see not one mobile phone in sight! Just people enjoying the moment without feeling the need to film everything and upload it to show random strangers that they were there.

Just re-watching the office as it is now 20 years old. Some great lines/scenes. Finchy's "nearly done" in the car park headlights is a classic.

American Rust on Sky Atlantic.
Starring Jeff Daniels.

only seen the first episode, and on the fence.
Sky Atlantic have form for good quality shows, which is the reason I gave this a go.
Interestingly, on Rotten tomatoes it has a vastly different rating between the critics and audience vote.

White Lotus is excellent, thought the two young girl’s epitomised everything that’s wrong with the spoilt youngsters today.

I liked Succession at the beginning when it looked like the old man might croak and when they went to Scotland for the wedding and Kendall had that car episode, and Chiv was having affairs, etc, there seemed to be stuff going on then, but now nothing much seems to happen, imo anyway.

Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
If you prefer plot driven to character driven stories then Succession might not be your thing. The White Lotus has more plot twists but similarly dark comedy. Episodes run from 54-65 mins but there's only 6 episodes and it doesn't outstay its welcome.

Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Succession is boring the tits off me. What exactly is it about, apart from a squabbling family? They need to bring in some separate story lines for the characters. Take Dallas for example, that was essentially about a squabbling family, but had a load of sub plots and different things going on all over.

Might have a look a look at this White Lotus, but how long is each episode? Hopefully not a fucking hour?

Agree slow joe, outsider started off great but plummeted.

White lotus is excellent. Love the hotel manager.

Going to start “American Rust” this week.

Two episodes in on The White Lotus, loving it so far. Plus to best 2 pair of tits on screen at the moment in it.

Just finished The Outsider, few episodes in I was thinking this is excellent but as it went on lost its way. If you liked true detective then you will like this..

Fully agree Ted S2 is a bit far fetched; try the book it’s King at his most outlandish! S3 on the other hand is very good Almost a stand alone story, with a slim continuation of the original story! I’d recommend sticking with S2 just to complete it. But defo watch S3
