Music Gigs Abroad...
|
Anyone traveled out of the country specifically to see a band or artist play?
What's the furthest you've gone?

Hey Pancho
SxSW is an excellent festival.
Austin is a wonderful City. Very cosmopolitan. An oasis in a very redneck state. I would recommend any music fan to go to Austin once during SxSW or City Limits.

pdbis - Ha! I remember when i went to see Oasis 15/16 years ago in Paris. I was on a coach and we drove past a load of Yoot fighting each other, loads of old bill etc they saw the coach and obviously the English on the side , stopped fighting each other and ran towards the coach throwing bricks, bottles etc Luckily the driver got us out of there sharpish.

The Jam - Inside a big top tent in Paris. Around 1979ish.
After concert the roads outside looked like a war zone and several people didn't make the coach journey home.

What is Austin like? One festival I've always wanted to do. Looks immense and the line up every year is always incredible.

Saw Iggy Pop, The Corrs and Robbie Williams at a music festival near Paris some years ago.
Oh, and Westlife in Germany. Twice.
