What's going on behind the scenes?
Run of poor form and results.

Uncertainty over BFS's future.

Rumours of the club's interest in Kevin Mirallas, among others.

I don't believe for one minute that S&G haven't come to a decision about BFS. In the circumstances, no chairman would leave it until the end of the season to decide whether they want to keep the manager on or not. That decision must be based partly on the availability and interest/agreement of someone better than BFS if they do decide to get rid. And presumably, they wouldn't go chasing after transfer targets without the agreement of next season's manager.

When they took over the club, they said that they've always been loyal to their managers. Not sure Zola would agree, but Grant was not deserving of their further loyalty. Have they changed that approach to the extent that they're now willing to expend with BFS? Or at the end of the day, will they be satisfied with 9th or at best 8th position in the league? Are they pursuing new players after discussion with BFS, or with someone else?

I don't think there's half as much 'going on behind the scenes' as many of you would like to believe. Some people on here don't half get carried away.

To me, that's a very complacent comment to make after a number of positive signings last Summer. As we and almost every other club have shown in the past, Summer signings don't always go as well as that.

Re: What's going on behind the scenes?
The board also have to consider the scenario where they give him another contract and like last season find ourselves down the bottom on the table for much of it. The lengthy runs of dreadful results each season cannot be ignored IMO.

Have always said the Board should have a football person on it to give advice to the owners and stop them making decisions like ill-informed fans who think they know the game because they have been around it for years.
My suggestion was Sir Trevor Brooking.
Lady Brady could make the tea as I don't believe she knows anything about the game.

Also I am sure that Brady actually does have a few shares in WH.

Brady is vice-chairman of the club, not to mention the David's most trusted advisor.

Re: What's going on behind the scenes?
Tony Henry, Kevin Mirallas = David Moyes on the radar.

Years of Prem experience, good with budgets and a step up from the Rhino in the media - with a point or two to prove.

All good timing for us actually and BFS can wander the land eating people as a Walker

Re: What's going on behind the scenes?
I was told Brady called Nolan in and told him she wanted him out of the club, earlier this season.

I was surprised how much her role covered if that was part of her domain.

Maybe she just hates pissheads?

Re: What's going on behind the scenes?
Can someone please explain why Brady would have to be part of any major decision making, for example, change of manager, when she doesn't as far as I know own any shares in the club?
Even BRAAN AAATT holds 13 shares, and I don't see Sullivan and Gold asking his permission for future decisions.

Re: What's going on behind the scenes?
1. The directors always back the manager to the terms of the contract. SA will stay until the summer.
2. They will be talking to agents to see who they could appoint in case SA leaves of his own volition and so that they can weigh up the potential difference between that person and SA.
3. The bad elongated run will suggest that the search becomes more urgent for them and that SA has actually lost some of the players.
4. SA has only approval status of players offered to him by Tony Henry, the recruitment director and DS.
5. New managers would not be asked opinions on players unless an agreement was in place. Those managers will have to work with an existing squad wherever they go anyway.
6. Teddy Sherringham has less experience as a coach than Neil MacDonald has. But it won't happen as SA will be allowed to see it through unless he walks.

Re: What's going on behind the scenes?
It would be Banjo, I think Teddy likes his more leisurely lifestyle though, would hope I was wrong if the owners were to make him an offer like this, but it would involve a lot of media attention for them on why they made he move now etc.

Re: What's going on behind the scenes?
Really? I didn't know that. Would he change his mind if he were temporarily promoted to Manager.?Be good experience for him.

Side of Ham 9:22 Thu Apr 9
Re: What's going on behind the scenes?
That's great except Ted only wants a part time role and doesn't do away games, by his own request.

Re: What's going on behind the scenes?
Get rid of Walrus now and put Teddy Sheringham in charge for the remainder of the season.

Imagine the attack minded football we would play, keeping us fans happy whilst doing the backroom work to secure our talent, get rid of the deadwood, as Sven said, and begin to negotiate with a potential long term manager and players for next season.

Fuck nose why they are waiting.
