FA court order bans streaming sites
The sites placed on the block list include Rojadirecta, Drakulastream and LiveTV, meaning that service providers will not be able to show them to customers.

The number of sites banned is now up to 128 as the Premier League tries to protect its copyrighted material in the new £5bn television deal.

More and more sites are being added to such lists including more conventional torrenting sites, eBook sites and music download sites. More sites can and will be banned when they are found.

The news is not good for football fans who want to watch the beautiful game but cannot afford pay-per-view services such as Sky or BT Sport.

The cost of watching live football is a matter that is debated every season. If the price of watching it on television keeps rising, then this may be also on the agenda for protest soon.

FA barring their toothless gums really are making themselves look extremely silly!

Streaming is here for good. Learn to live with it & adapt

The greed of Murdoch & his ilk are what has caused this. It's way too late to shut the stable door, that particular horse bolted long ago

funny thing is, the sky games are the only ones you can actually pay for and finding a top quality stream for those is a piece of piss.

it's the ones behind the blackout that give me issues.

As long as they leave cricfree alone then that's fine by me.
Watch allour games I can't get to through them, and currently watching The Open on a great stream with them.

Just to add, it’s a bit like all the Glastonbury festivals I went to back in the day, when there was always an announcement in the press saying this time, THIS TIME, the security will be stricter, the fences higher, TWO fences, no chance, NO CHANCE of getting in for free. Ha!

GROUNDHOG DAY!

The first time this kind of thing was said, I got really worried, until life rolled on as normal until all the other times it happened and repeated to fade.

Cheers, Trunds.

They've got no fucking hope of nailing this down.

That particular genie left the bottle at least two decades ago and has been giving the finger to everybody ever since.

I'm pretty sure this thread was from last year, Mike.

They've only started doing these court orders since then.

Exactly my thinking too. Happy to pay but want access to all West Ham away games.

I might be missing something here ( not for the first time you cry ) but Sky and the like need to start live streaming themselves and charging if they want to stop it, I would pay a lot to watch West Ham away games. They would stop losing their subscribers which is what has been happening hasn't it?

I worked for entertainment companies back in the day and they all tried to resist the digital download age via bans, fines etc. but in the end after years and millions wasted worked out its best and only approach is to embrace this delivery channel by providing legal access and establishing a new business. I mean, you used to have to wait 12 months or more to see the latest films . I am doubtful it would stop fans attending as most have access to games via the streams now. Clubs may be the problem I am not sure? They love their large TV deal and think the 90 quid a month from a Sky subscriber is the only model to keep the deal so large? It would not be hard to work out a price for live games that protects the revenue surely? I suppose it would highlight the fact further that everyone wants to watch ManU and Pool , Citeh with only a few watching Huddersfield vs Brighton ? Pricing and packaging can overcome that can't it?

Besides it cannot be stopped. Ban one site, site owner gets new address and URL and resurfaces.

Most on here are using these to watch West Ham games mostly when they are NOT being shown live on Sky.
So the question of not affording Sky is MOOT , Shirley ?

And I don’t believe virtually anyone who uses them does so because they CANT afford Sky etc
It’s cos they prefer money to stay in their pocket than Sky or BT’s. Isn’t it?

UK High Court grants new blocking order to stop illegal Premier League streams 'by any means' next season.

I wonder what "by any means" means? Things are unlikely to change aren't they?

Virgin, who I'm with, block these sites - but only the home page. Simply bookmark a different page and you're in, no probs.

Re: FA court order bans streaming sites
The problem for me is not that I can't afford Sky or any others, just that they only show a few games per year that I want to watch.

Would gladly hand over 50 or so per month to pick the games I want instead of watching the shit skyfest.
