Other Boxing Day football
I hope you all had a thoroughly enjoyable Christmas Day!

Today's one of the few days when there's a full roster of Premier League games, with some particularly juicy fixtures.

STOKE vs MAN UTD (1245)
It could be a tough Christmas period for Man Utd and their beleaguered Dutch manager, and Stoke will be in no mood to extend festive generosity to their visitors. This could be as exciting a game as it is difficult to predict. I'm tempted to go for a score draw, but will back a narrow away win.

BOURNEMOUTH vs CRYSTAL PALACE
With the Cherries confounding all reasonable predictions with their total determination, while Palace under Pardew are having perhaps their best season since the early 80s, this could be a real corker of a game. For Palace, much depends on whether Yohan Cabaye plays. There are good reasons to go for any of three results, but I'll settle for an entertaining score draw.

CHELSEA vs WATFORD
Now then, what have we got here? The high-flying Hornets will want to give their Christmas an extra buzz and will be looking to leave their lowly opponents with at least something in the bag. But will Chelsea, now under Gus Hiddink, be in a mood to continue their generosity to visiting teams? I think not. Home win.

LIVERPOOL vs LEICESTER
Klopp, Klopp. Who's there? The league leaders. Things don't get any easier for Liverpool as they host in-form Leicester. The Scousers are without Martin Skrtel, but can expect to share the points today.

MAN CITY vs SUNDERLAND
Only one possible outcome today, particularly if they're able to welcome back Vincent Kompany. Home win. Happy Christmas, Sam.

SWANSEA vs WEST BROM
Still managerless Swansea will do well to get anything from today's visitors, well-organised as ever by their tedious manager. This game could go any way, but I'll plump for a score draw.

SPURS vs NORWICH
The home team will be desperate to win this, particularly after giving away all three points to Newcastle in their last home game. And on paper, they certainly should, with the Canaries hovering just above the relegation places. Home win.

NEWCASTLE vs EVERTON (1730)
Like him or not, Steve McLaren has started to drag the bar codes from the relegation pack. He's still got much to do to get them to a happier position and he'll have his work cut out again today. But with some wind now in their sails, and with Everton displaying characteristic inconsistency, I'll go for a narrow home win.

SOUTHAMPTON vs ARSENAL (1945)
Arsenal could top the league at the end of today and few people would bet against that, even if only by goal difference. Goals have dried up for the Saints of late and there's no reason to think that will change today. At the end of 90 minutes, the Saints will be marching off with their tails between their legs.

Coffee is always considerate and considering as well as honest and thorough in his posts and dealings.

Given time and the course of events he is often as inaccurate as the rest of us.

All the same This is of course another of his excellent threads.

I read your first prediction and then gave up, hence why I asked if you expect people to read ALL of it..

Not easy to predict these days, but no idea why he thought Man Utd would win at Stoke.

Loved Wenger,

"The 1st was offside, the 2nd one was a foul, the 3rd one was a goal kick"

Hahaha he had a point though, he was right on all 3, couldn't disallow the goal of the season 1st, just the cunt look on his saggy Mr Burns boat was worth it...

The Shane Long back heel was a good goal to, cunt forgot to mention it was his German overgrown CB who pulled him down.

He did manage to say

"Well done Southampton"

Slipped in his sniedy " i hope we get this kind of luck in the next game"

Few crazy results again. There's not a week that goes by where there's a 2/3 results that surprise you. Brilliant competitive league this season.

That's goal of the season sorted.

Long foul on Mertesacker, same as Gestede on Ogbonna.

The Prem is one fucked up league this year - in a good way. The bookies must be raking it in with all of these surprising results.

Spurs have a genuine chance of winning it, as do Leicester. Both us and Palace could concevably get Champ league places, as could any three of about 8 teams.

Seem to be people on the internet trying to make a point about Southampton's performance, comparing it with our recent performances. Hadn't they lost 5 out of 6 before today?

Can't understand why people want Southampton to win that. They could go above us in 2 days now.

Re: Other Boxing Day football
There you go an out of form Southampton suddenly start to put it all together and play some good football against one of the leagues best sides, 3 up now and I dare say full of confidence, you wouldn’t want to be playing them next up, who have they got?

Oh!
